We are looking for a Credit Analyst to join our team! In this role, you will review residential mortgage loans to ensure compliance with agency, originator and/or investor guidelines, internal policies, Rating Agency requirements and regulatory requirements.
This position reports directly to the inTENT Chief Operating Officer (COO).

- Review residential mortgage loan files for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with agency, originator, and/or investor guidelines.
- Identify conditions and findings; review trailing documents as needed.
- Ensure all required documents are present and properly executed, including the Final Closing Disclosure, Note, Mortgage/Deed of Trust, Application, and other closing documentation.
- Detect and resolve errors or discrepancies in loan files that may affect the sale or insurability of a loan.
- Calculate income, debts, DTI, DSCR, and assets; review Entity documentation on borrowing entities.
- Perform quality control checks and contribute to continuous process improvement.
- Support audit preparation and respond to findings from investors or regulatory bodies.
- Stay current on mortgage industry guidelines, regulatory changes, and investor overlays.
- Maintain working knowledge of internal systems; test updates and revisions as needed.
- 5+ years of mortgage underwriting experience
- 2+ years of secondary market underwriting experience
- Knowledge of Operational Underwriting
- High School Diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's in Finance, Business, or a related field preferred (or equivalent work experience)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel), Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint
