Work Location: NYC
Work Mode: Hybrid (3 days/week in office)
Pay Range: $130K/Yr - $150K/Yr Base + Annual Bonus

Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly analytical and commercially driven Credit Risk Strategy Manager to lead acquisition risk strategies for our Credit Card portfolio. This role will focus on optimizing approval strategies, leveraging open banking data, managing affiliate channel performance, and driving portfolio growth while maintaining risk discipline.

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience in SAS and SQL, deep understanding of credit risk frameworks, and exposure to digital acquisition channels including affiliate marketing.



Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

1. Acquisition Credit Risk Strategy

  • Develop, implement, and optimize credit card acquisition underwriting strategies.
  • Design approval, pricing, and limit assignment strategies aligned to risk appetite.
  • Monitor approval rates, bad rates, and portfolio performance.
  • Conduct segmentation analysis to identify growth opportunities while controlling risk.
  • Lead champion/challenger testing and strategy experiments

2. Open Banking Data Integration

  • Leverage open banking transaction-level data to enhance underwriting models.
  • Develop risk segmentation using income validation, cash flow patterns, and affordability signals.

3. Affiliate Channel Risk Management

  • Monitor performance across affiliate and digital acquisition channels.
  • Assess channel-specific risk trends and adverse selection.
  • Optimize strategy by affiliate source and customer segment.

4. Analytics & Reporting

  • Build analytical datasets using SQL.
  • Develop strategy logic and performance tracking using SAS.
  • Create dashboards and risk reporting for senior management.
  • Perform cohort analysis, vintage analysis, and early delinquency tracking.

Qualifications
