As a Customer Order Manager, your role will be to manage customer order processes to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction. As well as coordinating with cross-functional teams to address issues and improve efficiency & analyze order data to enhance performance and support strategic planning.
What you’ll do
Lead, coach, and develop a four‑person Order Management team, ensuring strong performance, cross‑training, and consistent execution of order processes.
Oversee end‑to‑end order accuracy and coordination — including validation, pricing, scheduling, and delivery alignment across SAP/ERP systems.
Drive continuous improvement and standardization of order management workflows to increase efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
Partner cross‑functionally with Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, and Quality to resolve constraints, support large project‑based orders, and reinforce smooth order-to-delivery execution.
Engage directly with customers and sales teams to clarify complex orders, troubleshoot issues, and communicate requirements clearly in both written and verbal forms.
Champion digital tools and data accuracy (SAP/S4HANA, sales order tools, pricing corrections, BOM-related adjustments), supporting process maturity and adoption across the team.
More about you
While we value and appreciate all applicants, we believe the following background and capabilities will help you shine brightly in this role:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
5+ years of experience in order management or supply chain operations, supporting complex or multi‑component order processes
Hands-on ERP/MRP experience (SAP/S4HANA preferred, but experience with any major ERP accepted)
Proven experience leading, coaching, or developing team members or serving as a senior go‑to resource within an operations environment.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex order issues to customers and cross‑functional teams.
Project coordination or project management experience preferred (PMP not required).
Familiarity with continuous improvement methods (Lean, Six Sigma, or structured problem‑solving) is a plus.
Supply Chain certifications (e.g., APICS CSCP) are a plus and support success in the role
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship needs.

Salary & Benefits
Salary: $67,200 – $95,000 (based on experience level)
Bonus: target bonus opportunity 5%
