The Certificate in Cyber Foundations + Artificial Intelligence program is designed to prepare individuals for entry-level careers in information technology and cybersecurity while introducing them to emerging artificial intelligence concepts that are shaping the future of the industry.
This program provides students with foundational knowledge in networking, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, information assurance, and security best practices. Students will begin with Understanding Network Fundamentals, then progress into CompTIA Network+ and CompTIA Security+ preparation. These courses help build the technical knowledge and problem-solving skills needed for roles in IT support, networking, systems administration, and cybersecurity.
In addition to cyber foundations training, students will explore Artificial Intelligence topics relevant to today’s technology workforce. This may include an introduction to AI concepts, responsible use of AI, AI tools in the workplace, cybersecurity considerations related to AI, and how AI is being used across IT and business environments.
The program is suitable for individuals seeking to enter the fields of information technology and cybersecurity, including those interested in employment with government agencies, government contractors, and commercial employers in the Mid-Atlantic region. Students should have basic Windows computer skills, an interest in technology, and strong problem-solving abilities.
