About the Team:

Turo is seeking a Data Analyst to join our growing team and turbo-charge Turo’s growth in the US. This Data Analyst will have the opportunity to work across domains and collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Operations. The ideal person for this role possesses strong quantitative and analytics skills, is a demonstrated self-starter that operates with an ownership mindset, possess excellent communication skills, and has the ability to get up to speed quickly on different topics and areas. This role sits at the intersection of product and operations, with a meaningful focus on marketplace support and customer support performance, and is best suited for someone who can translate complex, often messy data into clear, actionable insights for a broad set of stakeholders.

What you will do:
  • Analyze complex data sets (including customer support and marketplace operations data) to identify areas of opportunities, formulate actionable recommendations, and evaluate impact through measurement and analysis

  • Present analysis and recommendations to leadership and work with cross-functional teams to rapidly execute and iterate based on feedback

  • Partner with product, data engineering, and operations leadership to influence the direction of initiatives with the goal of improving user experience and/or profitability of the business

  • Track the performance of the business and key operational metrics, and help stakeholders respond to shifts in trends and operating conditions

  • Support ad-hoc analytical projects based on Turo strategic priorities, including deep dives and root-cause analyses

  • Establish data specifications, improve metric definitions, and assess the impact of product releases and policy changes on the platform and support operations

  • Build and maintain dashboards and recurring reporting that enable stakeholders to monitor performance and make data-informed decisions

  • Collaborate with partners to improve data quality, instrumentation, and usability across product and operational data sources

Your profile:
  • 2+ years experience in product/data analytics, operations analytics, data science, business intelligence, or strategy consulting; experience in consumer tech, marketplaces or e-commerce a strong plus

  • Strong quantitative skills; strong proficiency in conducting detailed data analysis and using metrics to drive business results

  • Strong SQL skills and understanding of relational databases; experience with BI & visualization tools is a strong plus (i.e. DOMO, Tableau)

  • Experience analyzing customer support, contact center, or operational performance metrics is a strong plus

  • Experience transforming data into presentations that “tell the story” behind the data for both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Comfortable working with MS Excel and MS PowerPoint

  • Must be intellectually curious, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to multitask

  • Experience designing and executing AB tests is a strong plus, but not required

  • Must have strong communication skills and have the ability to articulate complex insights

  • Thrive working in a collaborative environment and have experience working cross-functionally

  • Must have a positive attitude, high integrity, and strong work ethic

For this role, the target base salary range in Phoenix AZ is $100,000- $125,000 annually. This role is also eligible for equity and benefits. In general, our ranges reflect the market-based target for new hire salaries based on the level and location of the role. Within the range, individual pay is determined by objective factors assessed during the application and interview process, such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Turo highly values having employees working in-office to foster a collaborative work environment and company culture. This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule — Turists will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
