ABOUT THE ROLE

As an entry-level Data Analyst, you will help keep our program's data clean, organized, and useful. Working alongside senior analysts and the delivery team, you will pull data together, check its quality, build reports and dashboards, and turn what the numbers say into plain language that people can act on. This is a strong fit for someone early in their career who is curious about data, careful with details, and ready to learn in a federal environment. We will give you the guidance and room to grow into a well-rounded analyst.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Support data cleansing and quality checks on incoming data, flagging issues and helping resolve them.

Assist in building and updating reports and dashboards for the team and program stakeholders.

Pull data from different sources and help maintain the reporting environment, including data sources and metadata, under the guidance of senior analysts.

Support efforts to keep data accurate and consistent across systems, including data integrity and normalization work.

Handle confidential and sensitive data carefully and follow all data handling guidelines.

Help translate reporting requirements into clear terms and explain results to non-technical audiences.

Support end users by answering questions and helping them use new reports and dashboards.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

A bachelor's degree in data analytics, business, information systems, statistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Comfort working in Excel and a genuine interest in working with data day to day.

Some exposure to data analysis or visualization tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, R, Tableau, or Power BI through coursework, projects, internships, or work.

Strong attention to detail and clear written and verbal communication.

The ability to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust clearance, which requires U.S. work authorization.

NICE TO HAVE

Internship or project experience with data cleansing, reporting, or dashboards.

Hands-on familiarity with SQL, Python, R, Tableau, or Power BI.

Interest in or prior exposure to federal or government work.

COMPENSATION AND CLEARANCE

The salary range for this position is $63,000 to $70,000. Where an offer lands in that range depends on your experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors. This role requires the ability to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust clearance.
