About the role

Goody is seeking an experienced, strategic Data Analyst to join our team. Reporting to the Data Engineering Lead and partnering closely with business stakeholders across the company, you will build trusted, reusable data models and metrics that power decision-making on Goody's teams (including Growth, Finance, Product, and more). You'll also use the models you build to derive valuable insights.

This is a great role for a collaborative analyst who wants exposure to every department at a fast-growing software company. You'll be building a strong data foundation—and using that foundation to deliver important, actionable knowledge to business stakeholders. If that sounds like you, we'd love to chat!

What you’ll do
  • Design and own business-critical metrics (definitions, edge cases, documentation)

  • Build clean, reusable SQL models (transformation layer) that become source-of-truth datasets

  • Partner with stakeholders to turn ambiguous questions into clear analytical deliverables

  • Create self-serve datasets and lightweight reporting so teams can answer questions without bottlenecks

  • Improve data reliability: sanity checks, reconciliations, and data quality monitoring (as available)

  • Contribute to analytics best practices (naming, documentation, metric governance)

Must-have skills / experience
  • 5–6 years experience in analytics / data analysis / analytics engineering

  • Strong SQL: can model data cleanly, handle edge cases, optimize queries, and explain logic

  • Comfortable defining metrics and pushing for clarity (“what decision are we making?”)

  • Strong communication: can work with non-technical stakeholders and document clearly

  • Experience with a cloud data warehouse (e.g. Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) and BI tools (eg. Tableau, Looker)

Nice-to-haves
  • DBT (or similar transformation tooling) experience

  • Familiarity with experimentation, funnels, retention, attribution (helpful for Growth)

  • Basic Python for analysis (not required)

  • Experience with data quality tooling / monitoring

Company Benefits
  • 100% remote work

  • Group medical, dental, and vision coverage insurance (with opt-out benefits)

  • 401k

  • Stock options

  • Open PTO, with a company-wide summer break designed to counterbalance the demands of the year-end holiday season.

  • Paid parental leave benefits

  • Annual company offsite – past locations include Cabo, San Diego, and Banff

  • $100/month reimbursement for wellness

  • $500 annual education stipend

  • Lots of Goodys!

Benefits may vary based on employment status or country location.
