Job Description
The Data Analytics Senior consultant is responsible for leveraging data and analytics to answer moderately complex questions and influence business strategy through communication of findings to management.The position is also responsible for developing standards of practice around data retrieval, data manipulation, data reporting and data analytics
Key Responsibilities
Makes business insights derived from data analytics accessible to stakeholders with varying technical backgrounds by translating complex data into clear, actionable recommendations.
Communicates and presents analytical findings, project updates, and strategic insights to teams and management, ensuring alignment and informed decision making.
Designs, builds, and optimizes dashboards, data models, and reporting solutions using advanced Power BI capabilities, including DAX, Power Query (M), semantic modeling, and performance tuning.
Extracts, transforms, and analyzes data using advanced SQL, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and strong performance across large or complex datasets.
Monitors and evaluates business initiatives against defined KPIs and communicates results, risks, and recommendations to leadership.
Compiles, cleans, organizes, and analyzes moderately to highly complex data sets to identify trends, performance drivers, and process optimization opportunities.
Provides technical expertise and mentorship, coaching peers and developing team capabilities in Power BI, SQL, data storytelling, data modeling, and analytics best practices.
Establishes, modifies, documents, and communicates standards for data retrieval, data manipulation, data quality, reporting, and analytics governance.
Drives continuous improvement in analytics practices, identifying opportunities for automation, standardization, and adoption of advanced analytical techniques.
Oversees data governance and ensures consistency of metrics, definitions, and reporting across teams.
Partners with IT, data engineering, and business units to enhance data pipelines, improve data availability, and support enterprise data strategy.
Champions data literacy across the organization through training, documentation, and peer development.
Utilizes advanced analytics techniques (e.g., forecasting, segmentation, statistical analysis) to support strategic, data-driven decision-making.
Leads or contributes to scalable analytics solutions, automation initiatives, and self-service reporting capabilities to improve operational efficiency and business insight.
Experience
3 or more years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field (Required).
3 or more years of experience with Power BI (Required).
3 or more years of experience with SQL (Strongly Preferred).
Experience with Microsoft Fabric (Preferred).
Experience with Allstate’s data systems is a plus
Skill Requirements
Expertise in DAX, Power Query (M), semantic modeling, and data architecture within Power BI.
Proficiency in writing optimized SQL for extraction, transformation, validation, and performance tuning.
Experience using Microsoft Fabric for analytics, data engineering, and end-to-end reporting workflows.
Strong understanding of KPIs, business performance frameworks, and metric creation.
Strong analytical thinking, problem solving, and ability to communicate complex data clearly.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This role does not include formal supervisory duties, but provides significant mentorship, technical guidance, and informal leadership to peers.

Compensation offered for this role is 70,100.00 - 121,475.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
