  • Ensure proper backup and recovery processes are in place for data repositories
-Ensure that new and existing business intelligence and data warehousing solutions conform to the architecture and meet the needs of our customers
  • Own and drive the development of logical and physical data models, ETL (Extract, transform, and load) scripts, metadata definitions and models, queries, schedules, work processes and maintenance procedures
  • Assist in the identification and resolution of inefficiencies and recommends solutions in data modeling and database design
  • Mentor team members to ensure accurate identification, definition, and interpretation of data requirements and data modeling needs
  • Work with other members of the technical development team to provide guidance on best practices for data architecture. Share data modeling/database design knowledge with team members
  • Conduct data quality reviews to ensure standards are being followed. Leads the maintenance of data governance process and procedures.

-Management of key business/client relationships and improvements to business performance

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key business users and stakeholders
  • Enhance and maintain professional relationships with clients, co-workers, management, vendors, and other organizations
  • Participate in Portfolio Management process including input and updates to tools
  • Create initiation requests, opportunity assessments, and business cases

-Lead data warehouse and reporting projects

  • Create architecture diagrams, data models, data designs and high-level process flows
  • Create operational support documentation and review with business stakeholders
  • Gather and review infrastructure requirements and process models
  • Develop database sizing estimates to ensure that storage is properly allocated
  • Develop security models to protect sensitive/restricted data in the environment
  • Oversee and participate in developing data extracts, transformations, loads and reports
  • Act as a lead in the execution of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodology

Requirements

Familiarity with Snowflake and ETL products such as Informatica or Talend or Spotfire a plus (verging on necessary). Experience with SAP highly desirable.

Possible onsite travel, if any.
