Responsibilities:

  • Build / maintain data pipelines with a reusable and modular framework. Examples:

    • Stand up ingestion of data from internal sources (e.g., Prod DBs, application logs, cloud buckets, etc) and external APIs or files (e.g., CSVs, webhooks)

    • Build out a new data model allowing team members to easily unlock business value through experimentation, ad hoc analysis, and automation

    • Enable sharing and syncing of internal data to external partners

  • Enable data discoverability, usability, and governance. Examples:

    • Help make data self-serve and intuitive for data scientists, engineers, and product / GTM teams

    • Define approaches for data quality checks, validation pipelines, and alerting for broken or stale data

  • Becoming a SUI data expert

    • Partner with internal / external teams on driving best practices for the indexing, storing, and transforming of SUI blockchain data for various use cases

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience in data engineering

  • Advanced SQL - proficiency in advanced SQL data transformation, querying, and optimization

  • Intermediate Python - should be comfortable with scripting and automation, and building scalable frameworks

  • Data pipeline development - experience using tools such as dbt, Dagster, Airflow, or similar

  • Development tools - familiarity with version control (Github), CI/CID, and modern development workflows

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior blockchain data data experience

  • Data architecture: knowledge of modern data lake / warehouse architectures and transformation frameworks

  • Real-time data: experience in working with queues and streaming data frameworks

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, which may include verification of employment history, education credentials, criminal history, and other relevant information.
