WORK LOCATION

This is a remote position with eligibility in the following states: AZ, CA, CO, CT, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, IA, KS, LA, MD, MA, MI, MO, MN, NJ, NY, NC, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, WA, WI, WV, VT, D.C. Candidates must reside in one of the following locations for consideration.

PAY TRANSPARENCY

This role will offer $100,000 – $120,000 annually, depending on experience, skills, and location.

POSITION SUMMARY 

We are seeking a motivated Data Engineer to join our Data & Analytics team. The ideal candidate will have experience building and maintaining data pipelines, working with PostgreSQL, and developing analytics workflows using Databricks. This hands-on role involves supporting analytics and reporting needs, ensuring data quality and reliability, and collaborating with stakeholders to enable data-driven insights in a cloud-based environment.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Databricks (PySpark, SQL, Delta Lake)
• Develop and support data lakes and warehouses in AWS (e.g., S3, Redshift, Glue, Athena)
• Build ETL/ELT processes to transform and prepare data for analytics and reporting
• Work with PostgreSQL and other structured data sources
• Partner with stakeholders to translate requirements into reliable data solutions
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipeline performance
• Apply data quality, security, and governance best practices

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data lake architectures
• Experience working in AWS-based environments
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD workflows
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or GED required
• 3+ years' experience in data engineering or analytics engineering
• Strong hands-on experience creating and maintaining Databricks pipelines
  
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL and MS-SQL

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in related field
• Proficiency Python or similar coding experience (preferred)

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• Primarily a sedentary position requiring prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a workstation. Frequent use of a computer and keyboard; repetitive wrist/hand movements and fine motor skills for typing and mouse use.
• Some travel may be required.
