Location: Remote role based in Poland

About the team:

You will be part of the Engineering team, which is responsible for developing and maintaining the SaaS platform end-to-end. You will work closely with Data Engineering and Analytics to ensure Snowflake is stable, cost-effective, secure, and aligned with data governance requirements.

Key responsibilities:

  • Review and continuously improve Snowflake configuration to ensure availability, performance, and reliability;
  • Own day-to-day Snowflake operations (user/role management, access controls, warehouse/resource governance), independently implementing configuration changes within the defined Snowflake architecture;
  • Run regular performance reviews of Snowflake workloads: analyze queries, clustering strategy, workload patterns, and bottlenecks, and drive configuration improvements;
  • Manage Snowflake costs: define warehouse sizing and scheduling, monitor resource usage, analyze spend, and drive optimization initiatives;
  • Support data governance: implement and maintain retention policies, data lifecycle management, compliance-aligned controls, and auditing;
  • Respond to and troubleshoot Snowflake incidents: identify root causes, implement long-term fixes, and prevent recurrence;
  • Establish and maintain operational standards for Snowflake: runbooks, documentation, and change management processes;
  • Collaborate with Architects, Data, and Analytics teams on best practices for data modeling, ingestion patterns, and Snowflake usage;
  • Support integrations with Snowflake (ETL/ELT tools, BI tools, data pipelines) from a platform reliability and performance perspective;
  • Be proactive and advocate for Snowflake best practices across teams in the company;

We expect:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake administration and operations;
  • We expect hands-on experience with Snowflake management via Terraform;
  • Solid understanding of data warehouse concepts: compute vs storage, concurrency, workload patterns;
  • Experience with access control and governance (RBAC, auditing, security best practices);
  • Ability to analyze performance and cost drivers (queries, warehouses, clustering, caching behavior);
  • Practical SQL expertise and ability to read/interpret complex workloads;
  • Experience with automation (SQL scripting) is a strong plus;
  • Strong communication skills for cross-team work (Engineering/Data/Finance/Security);
  • English B2 (written and spoken);
  • Location: only Poland (UoP);

Nice to have

  • Experience with FinOps/cost allocation and reporting (chargeback/showback concepts).
  • Experience with data cataloging, lineage, retention, and compliance controls.
  • Familiarity with GCP ecosystem and data pipelines (BigQuery, GCS, Dataproc, Airflow, etc.).
  • Experience with automation (Python or similar).
  • Experience working in an Agile environment and operating production-grade platforms.
  • Any SnowPro certification (Core or Advanced) is a strong plus.

What do we offer:

  • Fully paid annual leave in accordance with Polish labor law;
  • Holiday allowance to support your time off;
  • Paid sick leave (80% of the daily base salary);
  • Access to a discounted group life insurance program;
  • Private medical insurance (Medicover);
  • Monthly budget for sports and cultural activities (ZFŚS fund). Option for partial funding of a Multisport card;
  • Access to an online language learning platform;
  • Professional development opportunities covered by the company (seminars/training/conferences/etc.).
