The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist, for a project based assignment, to join our team and help advance the mission of protecting organizations from narrative threats and influence operations. You will work closely with the research, engineering, and product teams to transform complex data into actionable insights that power the Artemis platform.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models for detecting disinformation, bot networks, and coordinated influence operations across social media platforms
  • Analyze large-scale, multi-source datasets to identify emerging narrative threats and patterns of manipulation
  • Build and improve NLP pipelines for content analysis, sentiment detection, and entity recognition
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate models into production systems and ensure scalability
  • Partner with research analysts to translate findings into client-facing intelligence products
  • Stay current with the latest developments in AI/ML, particularly in NLP, graph analysis, and anomaly detection
  • Contribute to research publications and thought leadership on disinformation detection methodologies

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or a related quantitative field
  • Strong proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn)
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex findings to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Deep expertise in natural language processing (NLP) and text classification techniques
  • Experience working with large-scale data processing tools (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, or cloud-based solutions)
  • Familiarity with social media data, network analysis, or graph-based methods
  • Strong statistical foundation and experience with experimental design
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in cybersecurity, threat intelligence, or information integrity domains
  • Background in detecting bots, spam, or malicious online behavior
  • Familiarity with LLMs and generative AI, particularly for detection applications
  • Experience with real-time data streaming and analysis
  • Published research in relevant academic venues
