About the Role

We are looking for a software engineer who is passionate about data analytics, data visualization and user experiences to join our team.

Software engineers at Omni work across our entire technology stack to solve direct customer challenges. You'll join a team with deep domain expertise and will have the autonomy to prioritize and address problems independently or in collaboration with other team members.

This role is centered on developing user experiences around data, with a specific focus on data visualization. We work in TypeScript, and various visualization technologies, along with React and Remix to power our application.

Our engineering culture emphasizes shipping quickly and iteratively while maintaining a high standard for performance and quality. Recent projects include:

  • Full-featured spreadsheets integrated into our BI platform

  • An MCP server for Blobby, our AI chatbot that generates queries within the guardrails of a semantic data model

  • CSV upload functionality

  • Comprehensive API development

  • Writing data directly to Google Sheets

Qualifications
  • Strong technical and communication skills

  • 5-10+ years of experience building production software, proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript

  • Experience in the data visualization space

  • Strategic thinking and the ability to balance business and product goals with velocity and engineering excellence

  • Experience using analytical tools (e.g. SQL, Looker, Tableau, Mode, Amplitude, Google Analytics)

Nice to have
  • Experience building data products

  • Familiarity with data warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift

  • Experience with data use cases and ecosystem
