Job Description

• Minimum 5+ years of professional Database Administration experience in an operational environment particularly with Microsoft SQL Server or 2 years SQL Server and 3 or more years using a different DBMS. 

• Minimum 8+ years extensive experience in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and SQL Server programming 

• Skills and Tools required for Microsoft SQL Server 2012: 

• Management Tools - Management Studio, SQL Profiler, SQL CMD, SQL Agent, Tuning Advisor 

• Programmability & Development Tools - T-SQL Queries (DML, DDL, TCL), SQL Data Tools 

• Security - User, Roles, Auditing 

• High Availability - Database Backup & Restore, Log Shipping, 

• Scalability and Performance - Indexing, Partitioning 

• RDBMS Manageability - PowerShell Scripting, Performance Report, Index Maintenance 

• Integration Services - Configuration, Import - Export, SSIS Designer, Data Profiling, Transformation 

• Reporting Services - Report Server Configuration 

• Data Modeling - Erwin (CA) and/or ERStudio (Embarcadero) 

• Microsoft Office 2013 - Word, Excel, Visio 

• Apache Subversion (SVN) - Versioning and Revision Control System 

• Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database problems 

• Experience using SSIS to implement complex normalization and transformation logic to load data into a data warehouse from disparate data sources. 

Environment: 
• Microsoft Server 2012 
• VMware Environment 

Optional Skills: 
• SQL Server 2012 - Replication, Analysis services 
• Certification - MCDBA or MCSA
