Position Overview

This position can be based remotely in the United States.

The DCIM manager manages data center infrastructure operations across all campuses. This includes overseeing DCIM software platforms, monitoring power and cooling systems, tracking asset capacity, coordinating with IT and facilities teams, and ensuring accurate reporting. The role safeguards efficient, secure, and compliant infrastructure performance while supporting operational and business teams in delivering reliable data center services.

Essential Job Functions

· Provide administration and support for the Sunbird DCIM platform, including asset creation, infrastructure modeling, workflows, layouts, materials, upgrades, patches, and Energy Optimizer (NEO).

· Implement automation workflows within Sunbird DCIM and ServiceNow to reduce manual tasks and improve operational efficiency

· Assist in oversight of assigned tasks and workflows within ServiceNow, ensuring alignment with DCIM processes.

· Maintain accurate interconnection documentation and capacity tracking.

· Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance of DCIM data across platforms; continuously improve governance standards for asset management, metrics, and procedures

· Manage and document fiber connectivity, structured cabling, and cross‑connects within data centers; maintain accurate records of fiber routes and interconnection capacity.

· Monitor fiber utilization (and potentially power and cooling metric); forecast future demand to ensure scalable, forward‑ready infrastructure.

· Support audit activities by maintaining accurate documentation and demonstrating adherence to operational standards.

· Develop dashboards and reports to track infrastructure health, fiber performance, and operational efficiency. Translate technical DCIM data into business‑level reporting for leadership.

· Drive ongoing integration, deployment, and enhancement of DCIM operations, administration, and maintenance practices.

· Partner with IT, facilities, and business teams to deliver reliable, secure, and customer‑focused interconnection services.

· Experience with automation platforms (e.g., Ansible, Python scripting) for DCIM integration.

· Develop documentation and provide training for operations staff on DCIM best practices, fiber management, and interconnection standards.

· Demonstrate expertise in data center operations, infrastructure cabling, networking fundamentals, and Microsoft 365 productivity tools. Provide technical insights and assist in designing interconnection solutions.

· Handle additional duties as assigned by Management.

Job Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Networking, IT, or related field (or equivalent

· experience).

· 5+ years of experience in interconnection and fiber-optic systems,

· Strong understanding of interconnections cross-connects, and data center networking.

· Experience with fiber optics, Ethernet, BGP, MPLS, and carrier networking.

· Familiarity with MMR operations and colocation environments.

· Experience managing access controls and coordinating with security teams.

· Data center or telecommunications experience preferred

· Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills.

· Travel required is expected to be up to 5% but may increase over time as the business evolves.

· Availability for on-call support during critical issues.

Additional Details

Salary Range: $135,000-$145,000 + Bonus (this range is based on Colorado market data and may vary in other locations)

This position is eligible for company benefits including but not limited to medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and AD&D, short and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program that includes company match, and many other additional voluntary benefits.

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
