What you’ll achieve

Dell Technologies hires some of the brightest and most talented engineers and technologists in the industry. We are seeking a candidate who brings a blend of outside in thinking, strong technical skills, strategy and planning capabilities, and an unwavering drive for results to join our team. As a Hardware Engineering Intern you will be part of a team of highly motivated mechanical engineers and strategists who are responsible for defining the future vision of architectures and solutions for Dell client products. We are looking for interns who are comfortable taking accountability and can adapt easily to meet the needs of our rapidly evolving business.

The ideal intern is customer focused, motivated by results, innovative, works well on a team, and acts with integrity.

You will:

  • Incubate new products, technologies, or features that enable product innovation
  • Develop POC and technical specifications for new products, features, and capabilities
  • Preform simulation, analytical analysis, design, and physical testing for computer hardware
  • Responsible for interfacing with multi-discipline teams; intellectually flexible and able to quickly understand and build upon new technology
  • Development of detailed, yet clear and concise summary reports of investigations and activities

Essential Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a computer, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Technology or Computer Science undergraduate related degree with a graduation date of December 2026 or May 2027
  • Solid understanding of and demonstrated experience with MS Office and other software productivity tools:  Word Processer, Spreadsheet, Presentation, Scheduling, etc.
  • Hardware Component and Systems Design and development experience
  • Ability to create and analyze architectural and product specifications
  • Knowledge of high-volume manufacturing technologies and processes

Desirable Requirements

  • Fundamentals of statistical analysis
  • Proficiency in any of the design software: Creo, Fusion, ANSYS, and/or Flotherm XT/Flotherm computational fluid dynamics simulation software, Allegro, and OrCAD)

Compensation

Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this position is: The pay range for this position is $29.60-$31.80.
