The Business Planner will be a key member of the Global Demand & Planning Tools team. This role places strong emphasis on data analytics, dashboarding, and insight generation, leveraging data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI to drive visibility and decision-making.
The ideal candidate brings deep analytical capabilities, strong experience in global planning, and comfort working with large data sets. This individual will synthesize global demand signals, produce compelling insights, and deliver clear, data-driven narratives to leadership. They will partner closely with regional teams to manage the global forecast roll-up, assess risks and opportunities, and influence inventory and execution strategies.
Experience with launch planning and constrained inventory environments is a plus.
Responsibilities:
Analytics, Reporting & Forecasting
· Build, enhance, and automate Tableau/Power BI dashboards that highlight demand trends and planning KPIs.
· Own the global demand forecast roll-up, ensuring alignment with regional inputs, business strategy, and financial expectations.
· Translate complex data into clear stories, insights, and strategic recommendations for leadership and cross-functional partners.
Insight Storytelling & Executive Communication
· Identify emerging demand patterns, quantify key drivers, and articulate business implications.
· Develop monthly executive updates, insights summaries, and leadership-ready presentations that combine data with strategic narratives.
Cross-Functional Partnership
· Collaborate with regional demand planners, supply planning, finance, merchandising, product development, allocation, and other partners to support an integrated planning process.
· Highlight demand-related risks and opportunities and recommend data-backed mitigation or action plans.
· Participate in early global forecasts development for new product launches to assess business viability in gate review process.
Systems, Tools & Process Excellence
· Support continuous improvement of the planning data including master data accuracy, configuration enhancements, and process optimizations.
· Analyze historical sell-through, trend shifts, and product performance to inform assortment decisions for new launches and seasonal lines.
Qualifications and Attributes:
Required
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics, or related field.
· 5+ years of experience in an analytical role with substantial forecasting responsibilities.
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Index/Match, Pivot Tables, etc.).
· Hands-on experience building and maintaining reports in Tableau and/or Power BI.
· Strong analytical mindset with enthusiasm for digging into data and uncovering meaningful insights.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills—especially in communicating analytics and insights.
· Must have authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
· Curious and analytical; routinely asks “why” to get to the root of complex problems.
· Organized, proactive, and known for delivering high-quality work on time.
· Comfortable managing evolving priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
· Experience using SAP IBP.
· Exposure to seasonal business models or constrained inventory environments.
· Experience preparing and delivering executive-level presentations and insights.
