Job Summary
 

The Dermatologist provides general dermatology services to members, including preventive full-body skin exams, minor procedures, and acute and chronic condition evaluation and treatment. This role integrates and collaborates with our primary care and ancillary care teams, as part of our larger medical home model.

Job Responsibilities

  • Evaluates acute and chronic dermatological conditions

  • Completes full-body preventive skin examinations

  • Performs minor in-clinic procedures

  • Prescribes medications as appropriate

  • Provides evidence-based, timely, compassionate care to a wide range of individuals

  • Works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary medical team, including primary care physicians, physical medicine providers, behavioral health specialists and coaches, etc

  • Completes thorough documentation, using EMR  and other integrated tools

  • Keeps open lines of respectful communication with other providers, clinic staff, and patients

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications 

  • Completion of MD degree from an accredited medical school

  • Current Board Certification in Dermatology

  • Active Medical License in the State of Practice

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience providing dermatology care in a clinical setting

  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in an outpatient setting, specifically within an integrated primary care model

  • Experience using EMR 

  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Mac OS (Pages, KeyNote, and Numbers),  Google office products or other client systems such as Microsoft Office or HP products

  • Experience with telehealth or virtual care offerings, including aptitude for associated technology

Physical Job Requirements

  • Requires standing, walking and sitting for extended amounts of time.

  • Occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.

  • Manual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination

  • Includes full range of body motion including potential of handling and lifting patients.

  • Requires corrected vision, hearing and speech within normal ranges. Must be able to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
