About Co-Intelligence Labs

We're a well-funded AI startup in stealth mode building intelligent platforms that transform healthcare decision-making. Our mission is to make complex healthcare navigation effortless through AI-powered recommendations and conversational interfaces that are secure, scalable, and accessible to everyone.

About the Role

As a Design Technologist, you'll bridge design and engineering to create intuitive AI-powered healthcare experiences. You'll combine human-centered design principles with AI engineering skills to build functional prototypes, interactive interfaces, and conversational experiences that make complex healthcare decisions feel natural and accessible.

This role sits at the intersection of design thinking and technical implementation. You'll work closely with our engineering, product, and AI teams to rapidly prototype new concepts, validate design decisions through code, and help establish design systems that work seamlessly with AI technologies.

Location: Austin, TX (relocation assistance provided)

In this role, you will:

Design and prototype AI-powered interfaces using modern frontend technologies to create conversational experiences across web and mobile platforms

Build functional design prototypes that demonstrate complex user flows, AI interactions, and data visualizations for healthcare decision-making

Collaborate on AI integration by working with engineers to implement natural language interfaces, recommendation systems, and personalized user experiences

Conduct user research to understand healthcare navigation challenges and validate design concepts through rapid prototyping and testing

Develop design systems that accommodate dynamic AI-generated content, conversational interfaces, and accessibility requirements

Bridge design and engineering by translating design concepts into working code and helping engineers implement pixel-perfect, user-centered experiences

Prototype emerging AI features like voice interfaces, adaptive UIs, and intelligent onboarding flows that respond to user context and needs

You might thrive in this role if you:

Have 3+ years of experience in design technology, with a portfolio showcasing both design thinking and technical implementation skills

Know frontend development well, including React, TypeScript, CSS/Tailwind, and experience with design tools like Figma or similar

Have a background in human-centered design with experience in user research, interaction design, and creating accessible, inclusive experiences

Are excited about AI engineering and want to explore how AI can enhance user interfaces and create more intuitive experiences

Can prototype quickly and enjoy moving between design concepts and functional code to validate ideas and communicate vision

Think systematically about design systems, component libraries, and how design scales across complex healthcare workflows

Care deeply about healthcare impact and want to create technology that makes healthcare more accessible and understandable for diverse users

Communicate effectively across design and engineering teams, translating user needs into technical requirements and vice versa

Enjoy playing with new technologies - we’re all pushing the envelope with how we develop products and we expect you to do the same
