What You'll Bring:

• Fundamental concepts and algorithms from a Computer Science degree or equivalent, including object-oriented programming
• Backend application development experience and design on Linux-based systems
• Familiarity with programming in Python and Bash
• Ability to test code changes through automated and manual testing to find and resolve technical issues
• Knowledge of the git version control system

We’re also looking for the preferred skills below. Whether you are proficient or could use some brushing up, we’re happy to support your development in:  

• Networking experience (TCP/IP, HTTP, SSH)
• Knowledge/experience with SQL
• An understanding of security, encryption, and fault tolerance
• Cloud technology experience
• Good communications and collaboration skills
• Comfort with AI tools to enhance your coding throughput

TransUnion is now looking for entry-level Linux and Python programmers to join the TruLookup application team. We are a talented, agile, and passionate group made up of highly skilled individuals. If you are interested in joining a fast-paced and highly engaged team, please apply!

How You’ll Contribute:

• You will use your familiarity with Linux and knowledge of Python to support our online automated batch processing service.
• You will contribute to a combination of new development as well as supporting existing systems.
• Day to Day Tasks: Monitor system uptime, take part in Agile software workflow, and develop/execute test cases.

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

Pay Scale Information :

The U.S. base salary range for this position is $56,250.00 - $93,750 annually. *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual’s education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations.

Regular, fulltime non-sales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnion’s annual bonus plan. Certain positions may be also eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
