Organization: Industry Innovation & Co-Development Group (InnoCoDev)
This team will operate as a dedicated strategic function within Professional Services, working closely with Product Development, Sales, and Customer Success. Our mission is to accelerate the delivery of industry-wide solutions through strategic co-development partnerships with key customers. This initiative will establish a SWAT team within Professional Services to identify, cultivate, and operationalize these partnerships, demonstrating Guidewire Professional Services’ unique value proposition and capturing premium service opportunities.
Role Overview
As the Development / Consulting Manager, you will be the execution leader of InnoCoDev. You’ll oversee both the Development Unit and Consulting Unit, ensuring delivery excellence, resource alignment, and team growth.
This is not a “traditional PM” role — it is a hands-on leadership position that combines program oversight with technical and consulting depth. You will coach a team of Solution Architects, Engineers, Consultants, and Business Architects/Analysts, while driving customer success across multiple co-development initiatives

      • Balance innovation with predictability, managing scope, cost, quality, and timeline.

      • Apply agile practices to adapt quickly to new challenges and customer needs.
         

    • Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

      • Accountable to the Head of InnoCoDev for execution success with predictability

      • Serve as the primary escalation point for customer stakeholders.

      • Align with Product Development, Sales, and Customer Success to ensure joint success.

      • Represent InnoCoDev’s value proposition to both internal and external stakeholders.
         

    • Strategy & Growth

      • Translate organizational vision into operational execution.

      • Shape the team’s evolution — helping roles specialize and scale as the organization matures.

      • Identify and recruit top talent, balancing internal transfers with external hires.
         

    • Qualifications

    • 15+ years in P&C insurance technology, professional services, or consulting leadership.

    • Proven track record managing cross-functional teams in complex delivery environments.

    • Hands-on familiarity with software development and business consulting practices.

    • Strong executive presence: able to influence senior stakeholders and build trust.

    The US base salary range for this full-time position is $150,000 - $226,000 . Your base pay will depend on your experience, skills, education, training, and location among other factors. All full-time positions or part-time roles working 30 hours or more a week at Guidewire are eligible for benefits that support their health and well-being including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a company sponsored retirement plan. In addition, some roles may be eligible for the annual company bonus plan, commissions, and/or long term incentive awards which are contingent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, company and employee performance.
