Job Description – Digital Marketing Manager

Location: USA - ET or CT Time Zone (remote)

About NetFoundry:

NetFoundry is transforming how the world securely connects applications, services, and devices in an era where workloads live everywhere — across multi-cloud, edge, data centers, IoT, third-party and customer environments. Our secure workload connectivity platform replaces legacy networking and VPN complexity with software-defined, zero trust connectivity that is faster to deploy, easier to operate, and fundamentally more secure. This isn’t incremental change — it’s the redefinition of how connectivity works in an era driven by highly distributed workloads accessed by humans, applications, and AI agents.

Founded by the inventors and maintainers of the world’s most-used open source zero trust software, OpenZiti, NetFoundry’s Identity-First Connectivity™ enables zero trust connectivity with no VPNs, no open inbound ports, and no firewall changes.

Software and IoT solution providers use it for secure communications with workloads at their customers’ sites. Enterprises secure access to their APIs and agentic AI services in order to avoid any opening that can be leveraged by an attacker. They also use NetFoundry to simplify the operation of hybrid IT/OT segmentation and enable identity-based microsegmentation.

We are headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, and operate globally and are Series A  funded by top Cybersecurity venture capitalist SYN Ventures and Cisco Investments.

Our Team's Vision:

Our Marketing team shapes our enterprise go to market and evolves our global brand, driving revenue and empowering future success for our growing Sales team. Our mission is to help enterprise technology, AI and security teams to understand our disruptive approach to addressing the risks and operational headaches surrounding distributed workloads.  We do this by leveraging the growing need to secure workloads and non-human identities, as well as the many thousands of users of OpenZiti, the open source we developed and continue to maintain.  Our marketing team is led by a CMO with deep experience in cybersecurity marketing and sales and has built and led numerous startup teams, 5 of which had successful exits under his guidance.

About the Role:

NetFoundry is seeking a hands-on, data-driven Digital Marketing Manager to own and scale our digital marketing engine. As an early marketing hire reporting directly to the CMO, you will play a critical role in building pipeline, driving brand awareness, and optimizing demand generation performance across digital channels.

This is a rare opportunity to help lead a fast-emerging category at the intersection of cybersecurity, networking, cloud and AI. You’ll help educate markets, shape industry conversations, and bring breakthrough technology to organizations that are actively searching for a better way to securely connect their most critical workloads.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in startup environments, enjoys both strategy and execution, and understands how to reach cybersecurity and IT decision-makers through targeted, measurable campaigns.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own and execute NetFoundry’s global digital marketing strategy

  • Manage website performance, conversion optimization, SEO, and landing page strategy
  • Develop and execute multi-channel nurture and digital campaign programs aligned with buyer journeys
  • Analyze performance metrics and optimize programs to maximize pipeline generation and ROI
  • Partner with sales to align digital initiatives with pipeline goals and account targeting
  • Manage marketing automation execution and reporting (email campaigns, nurture streams, lead scoring, etc.)
  • Collaborate with content, product marketing, and partners to create high-impact digital experiences
  • Evaluate and manage external vendors and digital agencies as needed
  • Continuously test new channels, messaging, and optimization strategies

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years owning digital marketing programs at a cybersecurity startup
  • Proven experience driving measurable pipeline through digital channels
  • Strong experience with marketing automation and CRM platforms (ideally in HubSpot, 6Sense and Apollo)
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity or enterprise IT buyer personas
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience tracking and optimizing funnel metrics
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-moving startup environments with limited resources
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Self-starter mentality with high accountability and ownership

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with account-based marketing (ABM) platforms
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust, secure connectivity, or networking security markets
  • Experience supporting developer-focused or technical audiences

Why Join NetFoundry:

  • Opportunity to build and shape marketing from the ground up
  • Work directly with executive leadership
  • High-impact role influencing both company growth and your career
  • Fully remote, collaborative startup culture
  • Competitive compensation and benefits
