Overview of Position
Bridger’s products have revolutionized the way methane emissions are managed. With operations across four continents, Bridger is poised for an expanded role and impact across the globe. Bridger is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Director to pick up this momentum and spearhead our expansion within Europe.
As the Director of Business Development - Europe, you will report directly to the Director of Offshore and International Business Development. You will play a pivotal role in developing and executing our regional strategy. Your responsibilities will include validating market opportunities, developing commercial models and forging partnerships, while designing business and operational aspects within new countries. You will be the first position dedicated to this region and will have the opportunity to shape our regional approach. This role requires a unique blend of business development, business acumen and a desire to drive impact across multiple countries.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Market Entry/Development & Strategy
- Conduct market research to identify opportunities, assess competitive landscapes, and understand local customer needs.
- Identify key growth avenues. Adapt and execute Bridger’s go-to-market strategy, tailored to the region.
- Adapt sales and marketing approaches to align with local business drivers.
Business Development & Sales
- Build and manage the regional sales pipeline, leveraging Bridger’s footprint with a strong focus on new opportunity development.
- Negotiate and close deals with key regional accounts.
Operations & Team Leadership
- Coordinate with HQ functions (marketing, product, operations) to ensure strategic alignment and success of entry.
- Oversee and guide operational setup in the region, including compliance, logistics and partnerships.
Brand Building & Ambassadorship
- Build brand awareness through local marketing initiatives, events, and thought leadership.
- Educate potential customers and partners on the company’s value proposition.
- Represent the company at regional events, conferences, and trade shows to increase visibility and influence.
Reporting & Market Feedback
- Track and report on key performance metrics including revenue, pipeline growth, and market share.
- Act as the voice of the region, providing customer insights and competitive intelligence to inform product and corporate strategy.
Requirements
Required qualifications:
- Must be located in Region
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (MBA desirable but not required).
- Proven experience in business development, international business expansion, or related roles, ideally in the technology sector with a focus on B2B solutions.
- Deep understanding and experience with enterprise selling techniques.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing international market strategies, including market analysis and market entry planning.
- Prior experience working in international markets, with a solid understanding of cultural nuances, business practices, and regulatory frameworks.
- Ability to identify key stakeholders within client organizations, and the ability to interact with multiple levels and functions including R&D, ESG and Operations, from mid to executive level management.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence key decision-makers.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred qualifications:
- 10+ years of combined technical sales, product management, business development and other relevant experience.
- Experience in one or more oil and gas sectors (Production, Transmission, Distribution).
- Experience selling data or SaaS products.
