Key Responsibilities

1. Market Analysis & Opportunity Identification

  • Research emerging technology, digital, and language-industry trends to identify high-value consulting and service opportunities.
  • Train and enable sales teams to qualify opportunities and understand solution sets.
  • Analyze competitive landscapes to position offerings effectively and differentiate from traditional translation vendors.

2. Business Development & Growth Strategy

  • Lead regional and national business development initiatives to drive new revenue.
  • Generate prospects through research, networking, referrals, directories, trade shows, and industry events.
  • Formulate sales plans and strategies to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue and margin goals.
  • Build pipelines and manage full sales cycles — from lead generation to close.

3. Client Acquisition, Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Build and grow high-level client relationships, becoming a trusted partner for ongoing consulting and multilingual technology needs.
  • Serve as first-line support for new and existing clients, ensuring strong communication and service satisfaction.
  • Present solutions through virtual, in-person, and group meetings, articulating value across both technology and language-service portfolios.
  • Educate clients on processes, pricing structures, technology platforms, and competitive differentiators.

4. Discovery, Scoping & Technical Solution Consulting

  • Lead discovery sessions with clients to define consulting project requirements, technical needs, and desired business outcomes.
  • Translate client challenges into actionable scopes, engagement models, and technology-enabled solutions.
  • Ensure realistic project timelines, resource allocation, and budget requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and propose integrated service + technology solutions.

5. Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner with internal technical, production, marketing, and executive teams to align on strategy and opportunity advancement.
  • Facilitate cross-departmental communication to ensure clients receive cohesive, high-value consulting experiences.

6. Team Leadership

  • Build, mentor, and oversee a high-performing team of consultants and analysts.
  • Promote a culture of innovation, accountability, continuous learning, and high-quality client delivery.

7. Performance Measurement & Reporting

  • Set KPIs for consulting initiatives, pipeline growth, revenue targets, and operational effectiveness.
  • Track performance and present updates, market insights, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in business development, technical consulting, enterprise sales, or a related field.
  • Proven full-cycle sales experience — lead generation through close.
  • Demonstrated success developing consulting frameworks and acquiring new enterprise business.
  • Strong analytical and solution-consulting capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust across diverse, multicultural stakeholders.
