Job Summary & Responsibilities

Acadian Ambulance is seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Business Development to lead growth initiatives in our Texas West operational areas which includes San Antonio to Austin to Dallas. This highly visible leadership role will shape sales and marketing strategy, develop a high-performing sales team, strengthen key relationships, and identify new opportunities to expand Acadian’s presence and impact.  The ideal candidate is an accomplished business development leader who combines strategic vision with hands-on execution. You will work alongside regional and corporate leadership to move opportunities through the sales pipeline and build lasting partnerships with healthcare professionals, municipal leaders, community organizations, patients, and families.

Growth Strategy and Market Expansion

  • Develop and execute annual sales and marketing plans for the Ambulance Division.
  • Partner with regional leaders to implement growth strategies and evaluate new market opportunities.
  • Share successful client-relations strategies across divisions to strengthen overall performance.
  • Advise regional and corporate leadership on prospective clients, presentations, and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Identify partnership opportunities across Acadian’s affiliated divisions.

 

Client and Community Relationships

  • Build strong relationships with referral sources, healthcare professionals, municipal leaders, industry partners, patients, families, and community stakeholders.
  • Develop client-contact strategies that promote long-term relationships and business growth.
  • Prepare leaders and sales team members for prospective client meetings, presentations, and negotiations.
  • Represent Acadian through industry networks, trade shows, and community activities. 

Proposals, Contracting, and Sales Operations

  • Support the division’s Request for Proposal process, including identifying opportunities and participating in proposal development and presentations.
  • Oversee contracting initiatives to promote consistency across the organization.
  • Manage the division’s business development budget and support regional marketing budgets.
  • Oversee business development activities conducted by Business Development Coordinators, Community Relations Supervisors, and other key leaders. 

Marketing Strategy and Analytics

  • Maintain marketing data related to clients, prospects, market trends, and demand.
  • Direct state and regional email, direct-mail, and database marketing campaigns.
  • Coordinate marketing activities through industry networks and strategic relationships.
  • Provide input on digital marketing, website content, brochures, and trade show opportunities. 

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of management experience.
  • Demonstrated success in business development, sales growth, or market expansion.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and consensus-building capabilities.
  • Experience developing and executing strategic sales or marketing plans.
  • Ability to establish credibility and build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Three or more years of healthcare sales experience.
  • Knowledge of emergency medical services sales, operations, or contracting.
  • Experience leading sales professionals or business development teams.
