What You Will Do

The Director of Business Intelligence will lead the design, development, and delivery of BI dashboards and reports while providing leadership to a reporting and analytics team.  This role combines hands‑on development with mentorship, standards enforcement, and collaboration across the business to drive consistent, high‑quality reporting solutions.

What Your Day Consists Of

Power BI Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain BI reports, dashboards, and datasets

  • Translate business requirements into clear, actionable data visualizations

  • Build and optimize data models

  • Integrate data from multiple sources

  • Ensure report performance, scalability, and data accuracy

  • Implement row‑level security (RLS) and data governance standards

  • Troubleshoot and resolve data quality and performance issues

Team Leadership & Ownership

  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of analysts

  • Establish and enforce reporting standards, best practices, and design guidelines

  • Review team deliverables for accuracy, performance, and usability

  • Prioritize work, manage workloads, and coordinate delivery timelines

  • Act as a technical escalation point for complex BI and data modeling issues

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align team output with business priorities

  • Support onboarding, training, and skill development within the team

  • Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes and tools

What You Bring To Us

Qualifications

  • Experience developing reports and dashboards in Microsoft Power BI

  • knowledge of DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling

  • Experience with SQL and relational databases

  • Ability to lead or mentor team members

  • Understanding of data visualization and UX best practices

  • Ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Technical Skills

  • Power BI Desktop

  • DAX & Power Query

  • SQL

  • Data modeling

  • Excel, CSV, and cloud based data sources

  • Documentation and version control practices

Soft Skills

  • Leadership and mentorship capability

  • Strong attention to detail and quality

  • Collaborative, customer‑focused mindset

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
