Summary of Role:

The Feature-rich CMOS (FRC) Product line is at the heart of GF's essential chip technology. The largest and broadest technology portfolio serving hundreds of customers in Automotive, Home & IOT, Smart-mobile Devices and Aerospace/Defense. Feature-rich CMOS products are manufactured at every GF site around the world. 

 

The strategy role will report directly to the General Manager of the FRC PL with responsibilities around mid- and long-term strategic initiatives including, but not limited to new market assessment, strategic customer acquisition, new technology directions and M&A.  

  

In this role you will work on significant and unique issues requiring acquisition and analysis of market, company and technology data and projections. Many situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles, dealing with ambiguity and unknowns.  
 

You will need to exercise independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results and solving unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the business. 

 

To accomplish this job, you will need to work across many cross-functional organizations including but not limited to Corporate Strategy, Technology Development, Product Management, Marketing. You will to drive the decision-making process, prepare options for executive management (CEO/COO & board) that generally have significant business impact.

  • Partners with functional and/or cross functional leadership to influence priorities and objectives. 

  • Leads interaction with internal and/or external customers and suppliers in a very complex environment. 

  • Networks globally cross functionally and as well externally with very experienced experts or key stakeholders. 

  • Utilizes leadership and negotiation skills to influence outcomes with internal stakeholders and/or external customers and suppliers. 

 
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 

  • Uses skills to contribute to development of company objectives and principles. 

  • Barriers to entry, such as VP level review, exist at this level. Not all job families will have positions at this level. 

  • Applies advanced leadership and project management skills to lead projects and to guide more junior level colleagues cross functionally. 

  • Applies a deep understanding of company strategy and financial/business needs into the own work environment. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Law, or similar relevant field  

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills  

  • Self-driven personality with exceptional analytical skills, structured work style and ability to understand complex matters quickly  

  • Familiar with semiconductor manufacturing technologies and emerging technology trends  

  • Project management skills – planning & driving execution/implementation  

  • Proven track record of people leadership & development  

  • Experience influencing & managing change  

Expected Salary Range

$146,000.00 - $294,300.00
