Amplify is seeking a strategic, operationally focused Director of Business Systems Technology to lead the evolution of our enterprise ecosystem. As we scale, this leader will move beyond traditional system maintenance to architect a high-velocity delivery model across our "Core 4" suite (NetSuite, Salesforce, Workday, and Boomi), as well as other related applications. You will be the primary catalyst for integrating AI-driven interventions and machine learning workflows across our value chain, driving operational efficiency and informed decision-making across the organization. Serving as the bridge between technical execution and business efficiency, you will ensure our platforms are not only stable and scalable but are actively driving innovation and data-led decision-making across the organization.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Team & Resource Management: Lead the Technology delivery team, managing resource capacity and delivery velocity while fostering professional development through industry best practices.

  • System & Process Optimization: Own and continuously improve the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process across the organization. Drive the long-term roadmap for core enterprise applications, ensuring scalability, reliability, technical debt management, and measurable ROI aligned to organizational KPIs.

  • AI & Automation Leadership: Responsible for implementing the strategic roadmap for AI-driven workflows and "interventions" across the enterprise. This includes identifying and deploying specific Generative AI and Machine Learning use cases—such as automated ticket classification in Salesforce, predictive financial modeling in NetSuite, and AI-enhanced employee self-service in Workday—to significantly enhance organizational productivity and data-driven decision-making.

  • Strategic Staffing & Vendor Management: Manage vendor relationships with third-party consultants and staff augmentation partners, ensuring performance meets defined success criteria.

  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with Systems leadership and business teams to align technology initiatives against business goals.

  • Data Strategy: Work closely with the Amplify data team to ensure alignment and integrity of data across enterprise systems and data platforms.

  • Process Improvement: Establish and continuously improve technological "ways of working" and operational processes for internal delivery teams to streamline execution and improve output quality.

Required Qualifications

  • Platform Mastery (The Core 4): 10+ years of experience in business systems development leadership, with expert-level architectural knowledge in at least two of our primary platforms: NetSuite, Salesforce, Workday, or Boomi.

  • Strategic Technical Leadership: Experience managing the evolution of a complex SaaS ecosystem, moving beyond maintenance to proactive optimization and scaling.

  • Delivery & Velocity Management: Demonstrated expertise in establishing and managing high-output delivery teams. You should have experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and a clear philosophy for balancing "delivery velocity" with system stability.

  • External Resource Orchestration: Extensive experience managing high-output consultant teams and staff augmentation models, with a focus on ensuring quality of deliverables and fiscal health of technical spend.

  • Communication & Stakeholder Influence: Responsible for implementing the strategic roadmap for AI-driven workflows and enterprise automation initiatives.

  • Integration Architecture: Deep understanding of middleware and integration patterns (e.g., Boomi, Mulesoft, etc.) to ensure data integrity and seamless flow across a best-of-breed tech stack.

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Sector Expertise: Experience in the EdTech sector or a high-growth SaaS environment, with an understanding of subscription-based revenue models and educational procurement cycles.

  • Compliance & Governance: Familiarity with InfoSec frameworks (SOC2, ISO 27001, NIST, or GDPR) to ensure business systems remain compliant and secure as they scale and integrate AI.

  • Modern Data Stack Knowledge: Background in Data Engineering or modern data architecture (e.g., Snowflake, dbt, or Fivetran) to help bridge the gap between transactional systems and executive analytics.

  • AI/ML Strategy: Experience with AI Orchestration layers or low-code AI development tools (e.g., Einstein GPT, Workday Extend, or Boomi AI) to accelerate the deployment of automation and streamline cross-platform intelligence.

  • AI Implementation Experience: Proven track record of moving AI from "concept to production." Must have hands-on experience identifying, deploying, and measuring the ROI of Generative AI or Machine Learning applications within an enterprise environment.

  • Technology Certifications: One or more vendor/industry standard certifications (ITIL, Salesforce, NetSuite, Workday, etc.)

  • Change Management Certification: Certification in Prosci or similar change management methodologies to lead the "human" side of technical transitions and system adoption.

  • Advanced Integration Strategy: Experience managing complex API-first ecosystems and event-driven architecture beyond standard point-to-point integrations.
