About Omnidian
Omnidian, Inc. is a fast-growing Series C tech-enabled service company revolutionizing performance assurance for the distributed solar and energy storage industries. The Job
Reporting to the VP of Product, you are the Strategic Architect for Omnidian’s C&I Solar and Storage product suite. You define the 2–3 year commercial vision—focusing on financial & technical asset management, O&M, and data products—and serve as the primary bridge between market reality and internal execution.
What You'll Do
- At Omnidian we believe in trust and autonomy. How you create an impact is ultimately up to you. Here is an outline of some of the things you’ll be doing:
- Commercial Strategy & Roadmap: Own the 2–3 year vision and roadmap for the C&I segment, connecting it directly to our Corporate Strategy. Define "Bankable" product categories and sophisticated commercial offerings, with a heavy focus on PV and BESS performance and O&M data products.
- Organizational Education & Advocacy: Act as the internal dean of the Commercial market. Lead the broader organization in understanding the C&I landscape while remaining a student of Omnidian’s own software platform and operations.
- Strategic Influence & Buy-In:Executive Level: Build the business cases to secure capital and resource allocation from the leadership team.
- Cross-Functional: Partner with Software PMs and Engineering to ensure the commercial "Why" is successfully translated into technical "How.
- "GTM & Sales Support: Act as a critical SME in high-stakes client conversations. You are the "closer" for complex deals, helping Sales articulate the value of our performance models and technical guarantees.
- Player-Coach Leadership: Mentor and coach other product managers with the opportunity for management. Foster a culture of curiosity, grit, and a "Disagree and Commit" framework.
Who You Are
- Industry Depth: 10+ years in Solar/Storage/C&I. You must have a deep understanding of BESS and PV systems, technical asset management, and the financial drivers of renewable assets.
- Systems Thinking & Curiosity: A drive to understand the "total business"—from how assets perform in the field to the underlying architecture of our software platform. You seek to understand why we build the way we do before proposing how to make it better.
- Master of Influence: Proven ability to drive alignment across silos without direct authority. You can navigate the tension between "Sales promises" and "Engineering realities.
- "Grit & Bias for Action: A self-starter who thrives in the ambiguity of a scaling market. You don't just identify problems; you influence the solution.
- Management Experience: Proven track record of hiring, mentoring, and scaling product teams, including both management and best practices.
Experience You’ll Need
- 12+ years’ experience in product management, strategy or product marketing, including B2B
- Strong financial modeling skills, including pricing with profitability in mind
- Experience on Google platform tools, Salesforce, Service Cloud
- Core understanding of technical aspects of commercial solar systems (PV & Storage) up to 20MW
- Experience working with commercial solar portfolio owners (strong plus)
Experience That’s a Plus
- Experience working at a technical services company, including having a software product management skillset
- Experience in adjacent markets such as EV charging and Residential Solar
- Demonstrated entrepreneurial efforts to improve diversity, equity or inclusion of product, workplace, or vendors
- BS in a related field or MBA
- Title and compensation will be based on prior experience
