General Summary:

The Manager of Data Engineering will lead a team responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data infrastructure and pipelines. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure data availability, integrity, and security, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Design, implement, and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes to support business needs.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies and tools to enhance data processing capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in data engineering, with a strong understanding of data architecture and ETL processes.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
