Gong is hiring a Director, Deal Desk (Strategy & Operations) to lead a sales-aligned Deal Desk function as part of our enterprise Quote-to-Cash (QTC) motion. This role is highly cross-functional and hands-on, focused on supporting Sales by enabling complex, global enterprise deals while maintaining pricing consistency, billing readiness, and revenue compliance.

This role reports to the Senior Director of Fin RevOps and partners closely with Sales, Legal, Billing, Revenue Recognition, and Systems teams to help deals move faster and more predictably.

RESPONSIBILITIESSales Support & Deal Enablement
  • Serve as a strategic support partner to Sales leadership on complex, multi-year, global, and non-standard deal structures
  • Enable sellers to navigate through pricing, packaging, approvals, and deal options to accelerate time to close
  • Deliver clear guidelines on deal structure and escalation points in order to prioritize speed of close while supporting positive customer outcomes
  • Support Sales in balancing deal velocity with deal economics and revenue considerations
Quote-to-Cash Enablement
  • Support the end-to-end deal lifecycle from quote configuration through approval, contracting, billing readiness, and revenue recognition, and ARR alignment
  • Partner closely with Billing and Revenue Recognition to ensure deals are structured for accurate invoicing, reporting, and support overall clean downstream processes
  • Own Deal Desk requirements for CPQ, and deal approval workflows, ensuring tools support seller efficiency and scalable execution
  • Proactively identify and help resolve downstream risks such as billing complexity, revenue timing issues, or operational friction
Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Partner cross-functionally  between Sales, Finance, Legal, Billing, Revenue Recognition, and Systems Ops
  • Operationalize pricing, contracting, and revenue policies into clear  field-ready deal guidance and playbooks
  • Partner withSales Enablement to provide ongoing education on deal structure, pricing, and approval best practices
Team Leadership
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing Deal Desk team
  • Operate as a player-coach by actively partnering on complex enterprise deals
  • Foster a service-oriented, solutions-focused culture that prioritizes Sales partnership and execution
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 8+ years of experience in Deal Desk, Revenue Operations, Commercial Operations, Finance, or Sales Operations within the SaaS space   
  • 4+ years of experience leading and scaling high-performing teams   
  • Proven experience supporting enterprise and global sales motions      
  • Strong command of pricing, discounting, commercial governance, contract risk management,  billing, and revenue recognition considerations    
  • Deep familiarity with CPQ (experience with Dealhub preferably), CLM, and CRM (SFDC)    
  • Strong communication skills with a collaborative, service-oriented mindset      
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate senior executives across Sales, Finance, Legal, Billing, Revenue Recognition, and Systems Ops

The annual salary hiring range for this position is $159,000 - $225,000 USD. 

Compensation is based on factors unique to each candidate, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, qualification, education, experience, and location. At Gong, we have a location-based compensation structure, which means there may be a different range for candidates in other locations. The total compensation package for this position, in addition to base compensation, may include incentive compensation, bonus, equity, and benefits. Some of our sales compensation programs also offer the potential to achieve above targeted earnings for those who exceed their sales targets.
