Digital Transformation Consultant (Telecom)About the Role

We're hiring a Digital Transformation Consultant to lead strategic advisory engagements for the telecom industry, with a focus on digital channel shift, personalization, and digital B2B growth initiatives. This role owns the strategic point of view for client-side digital transformation programs, translates data and business metrics into executive-level narrative, and stays engaged through implementation - not just strategy delivery.

Responsibilities

Strategic Advisory & Program Ownership

•Own the strategic point of view on client digital growth priorities, including Net-Adds growth, digital mix, funnel optimization, customer identity, personalization and API/partner monetization initiatives.

•Advise clients on identity and fraud-risk architecture, including transitions from credit-bureau-dependent identity models toward network- or API-based identity signals.

Personalization & Journey Design

•Lead personalization transformation engagements to individual user-level segmentation, delivered on compressed timelines rather than multi-year roadmaps.

•Design customer journey and offer architecture, including user-directed experience models, spanning both segmentation strategy and experience design.

Executive Communication & Governance

•Translate business and financial data (ARPU/ARPA trends, retention, digital channel mix) into narratives for executive and board-level audiences.

•Prepare and defend performance, roadmap decisions, and investment tradeoffs under direct questioning from senior client and business leadership.

Implementation & Adoption

•Partner with delivery and technical teams to ensure strategic recommendations are executable and realistically sequenced against organizational and technical constraints.

•Own adoption velocity for newly deployed digital capabilities (AI, personalization, digital channels), and course-correct when adoption lags plan.

Client & Account Growth

•Serve as senior client-facing advisor, building credibility with client digital, marketing, and strategy leadership.

•Independently identify and prioritize strategic opportunities within an existing client relationship, and convert engagements into expanded commercial scope.

Qualifications

•Consulting pedigree from a top-tier strategy or digital transformation firm preferably at Engagement Manager/Senior Manager/Principal level or above.

•Advised clients on areas such as B2B identity/authentication modernization, digital vs. assisted-channel shift economics, multi-touch attribution model and API-based partner monetization.

•Delivered personalization transformation to individual user-level segmentation (not account- or cohort-level only), with implementation completed within compressed timelines.

•Track record of engagements that extended through implementation oversight, not just strategy recommendation and handoff.

•Personally accountable, in at least one engagement, for accelerating client-side adoption of a newly deployed digital capability.

•Demonstrated ability to independently surface and prioritize a client's strategic opportunities mid-engagement, evidenced by specific client examples.

•Strong command of telecom/CSP client economics: ARPU/ARPA modeling, retention/churn analysis, and digital channel-mix economics, sufficient to build and defend a board-level financial narrative independently.

•Working knowledge of monetization and commercial models within telecom, including API/partner integration, platform and ecosystem monetization, data-as-a-service, and usage-based or consumption pricing constructs.

Tools & Skills

•Executive-grade presentation and reporting: structured governance decks, board-level communication

•Drive quarterly and annual strategic roadmap cycles with client leadership, designing and facilitating executive workshops to pressure-test priorities, realign the plan to target KPIs, and hold the program accountable for outcomes delivery.

•Business and financial modeling: ARPU/ARPA, churn/retention, digital channel-mix economics

•Experimentation and analytics tooling: A/B testing platforms, SQL, dashboarding

Preferred Qualifications

•Direct engagement experience with a telecom, cable, or CSP client across funnel optimization, identity, personalization, and digital-channel transformation program.

•History of expanding an existing client relationship's scope or commercial value as a direct result of delivered engagement work.

•MBA or advanced degree.

Information Security Responsibilities

  • Promote and enforce awareness of key information security practices, including acceptable use of information assets, malware protection, and password security protocols
  • Identify, assess, and report security risks, focusing on how these risks impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets
  • Understand and evaluate how data is stored, processed, or transmitted, ensuring compliance with data privacy and protection standards (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
  • Ensure data protection measures are integrated throughout the information lifecycle to safeguard sensitive information
