T1 Energy is looking to hire a Director, Employment Counsel to own labor and employment matters across the company, from day-to-day HR support and compliance to executive compensation, international employment issues, and litigation management. You'll partner closely with HR, operations, plant leadership, and executives to ensure employment practices are sound, practical, and aligned with business goals.

What You'll Do

  • Provide day-to-day labor and employment legal support across corporate and facility environments.

  • Draft, review, and negotiate employment-related agreements (offer letters, separation agreements, executive agreements, policies, etc.).

  • Advise on compliance matters including wage/hour, workplace investigations, employee relations, and benefit issues.

  • Serve as legal lead for employment-related litigation and disputes; manage outside counsel as needed.

  • Support executive compensation and benefits-related legal matters.

  • Oversee international employment issues, including immigration and coordination with foreign counsel.

  • Conduct and advise on internal investigations.

  • Partner with HR and leadership to proactively identify and mitigate employment risk.

  • Develop and maintain practical policies, training materials, and guidance for managers.

Qualifications

  • JD degree and licensed to practice law in Texas.

  • 5+ years of experience in labor and employment law (in-house experience strongly preferred).

  • Experience supporting manufacturing or industrial environments preferred.

  • Experience with international employment matters, including immigration and cross-border compliance.

  • Litigation experience, including managing outside counsel.

  • Experience with executive compensation and benefits-related legal matters.

  • Familiarity with workforce ramp-ups in manufacturing environments.

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
