We are a global organization with a mission to provide high-quality rodent and cellular models and services to our customers. As part of our commitment to excellence and continuous improvement, we are currently looking for a Director of Global Quality to lead our Quality Assurance efforts across multiple sites. The ideal candidate should have experience as a progressive hiring manager and demonstrate success in building and leading a high performing team. Additionally, the candidate will have proven M&A experience of integrations requiring a blending of systems and processes as well as experience supporting multiple product lines. Ideally these lines will include rodent and cellular models. Regulatory agency experience required.

Ideal location - Bar Harbor, ME.

This role can be remote with regular travel to JAX locations. Ideally for someone located on the East Coast

Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive global quality strategy aligned with business objectives.

  • Maintain quality management systems and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.

  • Lead audits, CAPAs and supplier management programs.

  • Monitor and analyze metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the business unit, operations, project management and customer service.

  • Provide M&A and regulatory expertise as needed. Support multiple product lines (ideally including mouse and cellular models).

  • Work with regulatory agencies

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field, advanced degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in quality assurance with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.

  • Demonstrated experience in building a Quality Management System in a start up or established business and leading the business through ISO or similar certification.

  • Regulatory agency knowledge

  • Ability to successfully collaborate cross-functionally. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

  • Experience as an auditee, ten or more audits

  • Experience in QMS software design deployment

Pay Range: $136,461 - $228,467 based on total related work experience
