Position Description:

We are seeking a strategic, hands-on Director of Global Tax to lead PAR’s global tax function. This role will oversee the execution and spend of the Company’s outsourced tax activities, ensuring ROI on strategic tax initiatives and optimization of recurring compliance processes. The ideal candidate pairs deep technical tax expertise with strong strategic and operational leadership. This leader will ensure PAR’s global tax posture aligns with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and long-term growth plans, while partnering closely with Finance, Legal, and external providers.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, CTA, or equivalent certification preferred
• 15+ years of corporate tax experience, ideally within a publicly traded organization
• Strong expertise in U.S. and international tax, global compliance, transfer pricing, and tax provision processes
• Experience managing outsourced tax functions and external service providers
• Demonstrated ability to design and execute global tax strategy, including planning, risk management, and optimization
• Experience with M&A tax diligence and structuring
• Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Proven ability to operate strategically while executing hands-on work where required

Additional skills:

• Experience within mid-cap public companies
• Familiarity with tax technology solutions and ERP systems
• Knowledge of SEC reporting and disclosures related to tax
• Experience with cross-border transactions and global tax compliance

Unleash your potential: What you will be doing and owning:

• Manage quarterly income tax provisions and all income tax compliance filings executed by external providers
• Lead the development and execution of PAR’s global tax strategy, including long-term planning, risk mitigation, and rate optimization
• Oversee global transfer pricing programs, including documentation, methodologies, and accounting entries
• Provide strategic tax leadership for M&A activities—diligence, structuring, and post-close integration
• Monitor international tax law changes and assess operational and compliance impacts
• Develop and maintain global tax policies that support sustainable growth and comply with SEC and regulatory requirements
• Lead cross-functional collaboration to ensure timely and accurate tax reporting
• Prepare and present tax reporting, forecasts, risk assessments, and strategy updates to senior leadership and in support of board-level matters
• Manage relationships with external auditors and tax authorities, leading audit responses and inquiries
