We’ve just closed an incredible $77m Series B funding round led by Bessemer, fueling our mission to redefine the creator economy. If you're passionate about delivering exceptional product solutions and shaping the future of digital marketing, we want to hear from you!

As our Senior Director of Growth & Retention, you will own the full revenue engine across acquisition, activation, and retention for ShopMy’s three-sided ecosystem: Brands, Creators, and Shoppers. This role brings together paid growth and lifecycle under one leader, with clear accountability for scaling efficient, durable growth and increasing long-term customer value.

Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing, this is a highly visible, high-impact leadership role that sits at the center of Marketing, Product, and GTM. You will define the growth strategy, design the operating system, and lead a senior team to execute across channels, audiences, and lifecycle moments. This role is ideal for a strategic operator who thrives in complexity and knows how to translate insight into sustained revenue impact.

Roles and responsibilities…

  • End-to-End Growth Ownership: Own acquisition, activation, and retention strategy across all paid channels and lifecycle surfaces, with accountability for revenue growth, LTV, and efficiency.
  • Audience-Specific Growth Strategy: Define and scale differentiated growth approaches for Brands, Creators, and Shoppers, while identifying shared levers, infrastructure, and learnings across audiences.
  • Paid Growth & Lifecycle Integration: Unify paid acquisition and retention into a cohesive system, ensuring acquisition quality and long-term engagement are tightly linked.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner closely with Product, Product Marketing, Sales, Partnerships, and Revenue leaders to align growth strategy with roadmap priorities, GTM initiatives, and activation success.
  • Growth Operating System: Establish north star metrics, funnel KPIs, cohort-based reporting, and experimentation frameworks that drive clarity and accountability across the org.
  • Experimentation & Optimization: Lead a rigorous test-and-learn roadmap across channels, audiences, and lifecycle moments, scaling what works and sunsetting what doesn’t.
  • Forecasting & Investment Strategy: Own growth forecasting, budget allocation, and executive-level performance narratives, ensuring spend scales responsibly alongside signal quality and product readiness.
  • Team Leadership: Build, manage, and develop a high-performing team across growth, paid media, and lifecycle, setting a high bar for strategic thinking, execution, and ownership.

Your qualifications…

  • Proven Leadership Experience: 10–15+ years in growth, performance marketing, or lifecycle roles, with senior-level ownership of revenue-driving outcomes.
  • Full-Funnel Expertise: Demonstrated experience owning acquisition and retention together at scale, not as siloed functions.
  • Multi-Audience Fluency: Experience operating across multiple customer segments or business lines with distinct needs and economics.
  • Analytical Rigor: Deep comfort with growth metrics, experimentation design, cohort analysis, and translating data into clear strategic decisions.
  • Product & GTM Partnership: Strong track record of influencing product direction and GTM strategy through insight and collaboration.
  • People Leadership: Experienced manager of senior ICs and managers, with a talent for building teams, developing leaders, and scaling functions.
  • Builder Mindset: Comfortable in ambiguity, energized by complexity, and motivated by building durable systems that scale.Director / Senior Director, Growth & Retention
