About the Role The Corporate HR Director serves as a strategic leader for the MML Hospitality corporate group, acting as a key partner to executive leadership and property-level HR teams. This role oversees centralized HR functions, including high-level employee relations, multi-state compliance, HRIS strategy, and the development of culture-building initiatives that reflect MML’s "people-first" philosophy.

What You’ll Do

Strategic Leadership & Compliance:

  • Partner with the SVP of HR and executive leadership on organizational structure, headcount planning, and operational HR strategy for the corporate group and broader portfolio.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of federal and Texas employment laws, ensuring all policies and handbooks meet current best practices.
  • Provide guidance on state-specific requirements (e.g., New York, Colorado) for various MML properties to ensure portfolio-wide compliance.

Operations & Systems:

  • Lead the management and optimization of HRIS systems (Paylocity preferred), ensuring data integrity and efficient reporting.
  • Oversee compensation strategy and benefits administration in coordination with the corporate finance and HR teams.
  • Develop and implement standardized onboarding, performance management, and offboarding workflows across the corporate entity.

Team & Culture:

  • Serve as a primary contact for corporate employee relations, providing guidance with discretion, empathy, and professionalism.
  • Design and implement training and development programs to foster growth and engagement within the corporate team.
  • Drive initiatives that reinforce MML's unique brand story and hospitality-driven culture within the corporate office.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience: 7 to 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years at the Manager or Director level.
  • Industry Background: Experience in multi-unit hospitality, luxury hotels, or a fast-paced creative environment is highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with HRIS systems is required (Paylocity preferred).
  • Language Skills: Fluency in Spanish (written and spoken) is a strong plus.
  • Education/Legal: Solid working knowledge of federal and Texas employment law; PHR or SPHR certification is a plus.
