About Sharebite

Sharebite is the leading meal benefits platform built exclusively for companies to feed their employees. Our platform allows employees to order meals from any restaurant while streamlining all of the ordering & billing requirements for the company. Every meal ordered through the Sharebite platform results in a meal donation to local partners like City Harvest and Feeding America to help combat food insecurity. To date, Sharebite has donated over 15 million meals.

About the Role

As Director of Logistics Operations at Sharebite, you’ll own the end-to-end delivery and fulfillment experience that powers thousands of daily meals for companies across the country. You’ll lead the full Logistics Operations organization—including fulfillment and on-site operations—and evolve Sharebite’s delivery model from primarily third-party to a high-performing hybrid model by standing up and scaling an in-house driver fleet.

This role blends operational rigor, systems thinking, and hands-on leadership. You’ll rebuild core components of our logistics engine—from dispatch and driver assignment to restaurant handoff, last mile and “final 30 feet,” on-site execution, customer experience, ETA accuracy, and live tracking. You’ll also create predictable, repeatable processes that enable Sales, Customer Success, and the broader organization to launch confidently. You are the ultimate backstop for delivery performance at Sharebite.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and develop the Logistics Operations team across fulfillment and on-site operations; build a culture of high ownership, strong judgment, and continuous improvement—where ICs are operators who solve problems, not button clickers.
  • Stand up and scale Sharebite’s in-house driver fleet to transition from a fully third-party model to a hybrid in-house/third-party system; own the build from hiring and onboarding through scheduling, performance management, and cost/quality optimization.
  • Overhaul logistics workflows end-to-end, including dispatch/DSP and driver assignment, restaurant/driver handoff, last mile and “final 30 feet,” on-site operations, customer experience, ETA accuracy, and driver tracking.
  • Build reliable, predictable operating processes that other teams can trust and sell against; clearly document how things work, define expectations and inputs for pilots/trials/launches, and ensure smooth execution from day one.
  • Lean aggressively into AI and automation in partnership with the Director, Customer Care; design an AI-first model for live order operations that reduces manual work, improves consistency, and scales intelligently.
  • Drive accountability and raise the bar continuously by evaluating roles, scope, and workflows with an eye toward “lifting the floor”; invest in top performers, coach decisively, and make hard calls when standards aren’t met.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Sales, Customer Care, and Restaurant Success to surface operational insights, translate them into requirements, and ensure logistics realities shape roadmap and go-to-market plans.
  • Own key operational metrics and reporting by defining KPIs and building the mechanisms to track, improve, and forecast performance across on-time delivery, order quality, driver productivity, customer satisfaction, and unit economics.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for delivery operations, solving high-severity issues in real time and implementing systemic fixes to prevent recurrence.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 7+ years in logistics, operations, or supply chain, with 3+ years leading teams across multiple functions and/or geographies.
  • Demonstrated experience building and scaling delivery operations, ideally including launching an in-house fleet and operating in a hybrid in-house/third-party environment.
  • Strong command of last-mile operations fundamentals, including dispatch, routing, driver performance, vendor/DSP management, incident response, and on-site execution.
  • Exceptional people leadership: a track record of developing talent, building high-performing teams, delivering candid feedback, and maintaining high standards through thoughtful performance management.
  • Operational systems and process excellence: ability to design repeatable workflows, document them clearly, and scale execution across changing conditions and high volume.
  • AI/automation fluency: proven ability to identify repeatable work, translate it into automation opportunities, and partner with technical teams to implement AI-driven workflows.
  • Data-driven operating cadence: comfort defining metrics, building dashboards, diagnosing issues with data, and translating insights into concrete changes to process and tooling.
  • Strong cross-functional influence: ability to align stakeholders, communicate tradeoffs, and convert operational complexity into clear plans across Product, Engineering, and Customer-facing teams.
  • Bias for action and full ownership: you move quickly, operate well in ambiguity, and take accountability for outcomes.
  • Relevant domain experience preferred: food delivery, on-demand logistics, hospitality operations, or other time-sensitive service environments.
  • Strong technical aptitude: comfort working with dispatch tools, tracking systems, workflow automation, and operational platforms (and knowing what “good” looks like).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication: clear documentation, crisp updates, and the ability to tailor communication from frontline operators to exec stakeholders.
