Who we are
At Fluxon, we believe that how you build matters as much as what you build. We help businesses navigate their most important technology decisions with confidence, and take responsibility for seeing them through. Founded by ex-Googlers and startup veterans, we’re proud to partner with teams behind some of the most ambitious products, including Open AI, Anthropic, Stripe, Walmart and Google.
Our work spans strategy, design, and engineering — often in complex, AI-driven environments — where clarity, speed and quality are the standard. We use AI intentionally, applying it only where it adds real value and expands what’s possible. Care shapes everything we do.
Inside Fluxon, you’ll find a global, remote-first team of experienced builders, who are curious, kind and serious about their craft. We’re building a place where people can take ownership, solve problems that matter and do work they’re proud to stand behind. If you want to do your best work alongside people who care as much as you do, you’ll feel at home here.
Many of our team members call the Bay Area home, but this role is fully remote across North America.
About the role
We’re looking for a Director of Marketing to define and lead Fluxon’s marketing strategy as we enter our next phase of growth. This role will shape how Fluxon shows up in the market — building the systems, programs, and positioning that support long-term brand and revenue goals.
This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys building from the ground up. You will set marketing direction while personally driving key initiatives, especially in the early stages. Success in this role requires strong leadership, clear thinking, and the ability to translate strategy into action.
You will be a strategic partner to our Growth, Brand, Product, and Sales teams, shaping marketing priorities that directly drive Fluxon’s business outcomes. This role offers the opportunity to build a marketing function with real influence on Fluxon’s future.
In this role, you will:
- Shape our content and distribution strategy - what we say, where we show up, and who we need to reach to grow awareness and demand
- Set content priorities and rhythm, owning our editorial roadmap and aligning it with our business goals
- Define and evolve our brand voice and messaging so our marketing is clear, consistent, and easy to understand
- Lead content development cross-functionally, partnering with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to turn ideas and expertise into compelling content
- Track what’s working (and what’s not) and use those insights to guide channel investment, content direction, and experimentation
This role requires a balance of leadership and hands-on contribution, with an emphasis on building direction and alignment.
Qualifications
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- 8+ years experience in content marketing, including 3+ years in a leadership role
- Proven experience leading marketing initiatives in a tech, SaaS, or B2B product environment
- Experience in early-stage, scaling, or changing organizations where roles were not fully defined
- Experience leading marketing strategy while directly driving execution of key initiatives
- Experience working cross-functionally with product, growth, and technical teams
- Demonstrated ability to operate in ambiguous or fast-changing environments
- A structured, analytical approach to marketing (you can explain how you decide what matters)
- Strong communication skills, especially around expectations and delivery
Nice to have
While it’s not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:
- Experience in product development or technical services companies
- Background in SaaS or developer-focused products
- Experience building a marketing function or inheriting an undefined one
- Familiarity with growth experimentation or performance measurement systems
