Overview of Position

The Director, Service Network Strategy – Connected Living is responsible for the Development, Implementation, Execution and Optimization of the strategic plan and roadmap specific to the In-Home Field Service Network covering the continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico.  This is expected to define the Service Delivery Network strategy on a market level (MSA) basis aligning with Client, Customer and Assurant objectives.  The incumbent will utilize existing and emerging quantitative methods and solutions to provide market coverage while minimizing cost, maximizing customer satisfaction and enabling future products and services.  This position is expected to design, scale and optimize the relationship between Assurant and Service Providers for OEM, Factory Service and Independent Service providers.  This position will provide business case support for decisions regarding investment or potential acquisition of service partners.  The incumbent will lead a team of Partner Success Managers responsible for managing the relationship with Strategic Service Partners.  In addition, this position will direct the efforts of Network Analytics team.

Ultimately, this position will define, present and execute the rolling 5-year, 3-year Strategic plans for Overall Network Optimization and explaining/correcting actual variances relative plans and forecasts.  Finally, this position will represent the Service Delivery Network team on cross-functional projects and initiatives.

This position will report directly to the AVP, In-Home Service Delivery.

What will be my responsibilities for this position?

  • Direct team of 8 individual responsible for Service Delivery Network strategy, analytics and outcomes consistent with Customer Experience, Client, Financial and Quality expectations. (20%)

  • Define, quantify, implement and optimize national Service Network strategies and solutions (50%)

  • Partner with the Account Management team to gain understanding of client needs and drive alignment regarding Service Delivery solutions for clients and end users. Work across departments in support of seamless operation to develop common requirements and business processes to leverage key suppliers and overall supplier portfolio. (20%)

  • Respond to RFP/RFQ, on-board new programs/clients and perform other duties as assigned and contribute to the success of Assurant Solutions. (10%)

What are the requirements needed for this position?

  • A minimum of 10 years senior operations, supply chain and service delivery management experience

  • 7-10+ years of experience leading national customer facing sales, service, and operations solutions

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Logistics or related field

  • MBA Preferred

  • Substantial knowledge and experience with logistics, supply chain including retail sales, service operations, RFP/RFQs, evaluation of bids, supplier evaluation, negotiation, selection and contracts

  • Demonstrated success in a service operations leadership role in with both wireless and in-home industry experience

  • Demonstrated ability to manage the P&L of a multi-million dollar business

  • Proven ability to build and manage team of inspired individuals

  • Advanced problem-solving skills

  • Proven ability to manage within a rapidly changing, high intensity business environment

  • Proven effective communications skills leveraged internally and with external clients

  • Proven ability to develop and communicate complex concepts

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Demonstrated project development and completion skills

  • Demonstrated strategic planning and financial projection skills

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Logistics or related field

  • MBA Preferred

Pay Range:

$103,800.00 - $173,300.00

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
