Job Summary
The Director of Partnerships will spearhead growth initiatives across national accounts and strategic partnerships to achieve company targets. This individual combines strong insurance industry sales and business development knowledge with exceptional leadership skills and a proven track record of driving revenue growth. This position will work closely with the executive and senior leadership of the company’s strategic partners to further advance growth opportunities and cultivate strong critical relationships. This will include a focused effort on current and future partnerships to create and support enhanced vision and strategy. This position will be responsible for the oversight of new partnership alliances and will drive deep and wide engagement with partners, leading to strong, holistic relationships. This Leader will have consistent communication with the Executive Management Team regarding partnership initiatives and opportunities. This individual reports to the VP, Operations and Partnerships..
Summary of Essential Job Duties
Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to grow paid premium from national accounts and strategic partnerships, aligning with company objectives and targets.
Build and manage a Team of territory managers for growth with strategic partners
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including national account clients, brokers, and strategic partners, to drive business opportunities and revenue growth.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and targeted outreach efforts.
Lead the development and management of a healthy pipeline of prospective clients and partners, ensuring consistent engagement and follow-up to drive conversions.
Utilize CRM tools and analytics to track performance metrics, forecast revenue, and identify areas for optimization and improvement.
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, including sales, marketing, underwriting, and product development, to align strategies and deliver seamless customer experiences.
Lead negotiations and contract discussions with national accounts and strategic partners, leveraging strong communication and negotiation skills to drive favorable outcomes and revenue growth.
Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to identify emerging opportunities and threats, informing strategic decision-making and positioning the company for long-term success.
Provide regular reporting and updates to senior management on key performance metrics, initiatives, and progress towards goals.
Coordinate and work through financial analysis and impact of partnerships with internal Financial and Accounting Teams.
Cultivate and build enhanced and integrated relationships with executive and senior leadership at current and future partnerships.
Perform data analysis of current partnerships to understand opportunities and develop growth initiatives.
Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
10+ years of experience in sales, business development, or account management within the insurance industry, with a focus on national accounts and strategic partnerships.
Proven track record of successfully growing revenue and driving profitable growth through national accounts and partnerships.
Strong analytical skills and experience with CRM tools and sales forecasting techniques.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade key stakeholders at all levels.
Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute complex business plans and initiatives.
Demonstrated leadership experience, including the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams towards common goals.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for driving innovation and continuous improvement.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities and market conditions.
