General Description:

The Director of Pricing & Contracting is responsible for developing and leading strategic pricing recommendations that support enterprise objectives and ensure competitive market positioning. This role leads pricing and contract research, advanced analytics, and gross-to-net forecasting to inform data-driven pricing decisions and ensure alignment with reimbursement and access dynamics.

The Director oversees provider contracting strategy, including engagements with Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs), Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), integrated health systems, and government customers. Responsibilities include evaluating contract structures, assessing provider economics and Net Cost Recovery (NCR), and ensuring contracting approaches align with site-of-care, reimbursement, and policy considerations. Additionally, the Director develops and delivers executive-level pricing and contracting materials for Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and Board of Directors (BOD) meetings, clearly communicating pricing strategies, financial implications, and key decision considerations to senior leadership.

This position reports to the Senior Director, Strategic Pricing

Essential Functions:

  • Lead U.S. pricing and contracting analyses, including advanced financial models and scenario planning, to optimize list price, net price realization, and gross-to-net projections across Medicare Part B, Part D and government channels.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in pricing and contracting, assessing market trends and competitive dynamics that impact pricing strategies, and developing mitigation strategies to optimize outcomes
  • Drive forecasting and modeling to evaluate financial and access implications of competitive activity and alternative contracting structures with providers and government customers.
  • Oversee Average Sales Price (ASP) forecasting, monitoring, and scenario planning to support product launch readiness and competitive positioning.
  • Ensure contracts and pricing strategies comply with federal and state regulations in partnership with Government Pricing and Compliance.
  • Provide strategic pricing and contracting insights to senior leadership, informing enterprise decision-making and positioning in response to U.S. healthcare policy changes and market access pressures.
  • Monitor ASP trends, reimbursement benchmarks, and market feedback to inform pricing and contracting strategies and proactively address risks to net price realization.
  • Develop business cases to support the contract review and approval process in partnership with Legal, Brand Marketing, Market Access, and Finance.
  • Prepare and deliver executive level presentations for Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and Board of Directors meetings, clearly articulating strategic options, financial trade-offs, and access implications.
  • Design channel-specific strategies to respond to evolving market conditions, ensuring robust market access and optimizing pricing and contracting effectiveness.
  • Support cross-functional readiness for pipeline asset launches, incorporating relevant pricing and contracting strategies.

Minimum Requirements – Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Biological Sciences, or related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10 + years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech and/or healthcare industry, with a strong focus on pricing, contracting, reimbursement, and policy strategy

Other Experience:

  • Deep understanding of U.S. health policy, including IRA, MFN, Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement, ASP-based models, and government pricing regulations.
  • Expertise in market access dynamics and pricing landscapes, including a deep understanding of pricing and provider economics, reimbursement models, and government pricing regulations.
  • Experience in developing pricing and contracting strategies for both in-line and pipeline products.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills; ability to translate complex policy and market dynamics into actionable strategies.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across large matrixed organizations and influence senior leadership.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, including the ability to convey technical and policy concepts to executive leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Flexible, diplomatic, and able to navigate ambiguity in a rapidly evolving policy environment.
  • Possess leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to influence different styles.
  • Able to identify and implement recommendations for improving processes and efficiency.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and build relationships across all key internal & external stakeholders, including executive management.
  • Positive attitude to embrace occasional special projects as part of collaborative team or individual contributor.

Travel:   Ability to travel 15-25% domestic.

Salary Range: $175,000.00 - $235,000.00 annually

BeOne is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Actual compensation packages are determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location. Packages may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor. The recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for a preferred location during the hiring process.  Please note that the listed range reflects the base salary or hourly range only. Non-Commercial roles are eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan, and Commercial roles are eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
