Your Impact

The Director, Product Design at DISCO oversees and leads a talented team of product designers to create exceptional user experiences and innovative design solutions. They are pivotal in shaping the design strategy and vision of DISCO, ensuring the delivery of compelling and user-centric products. Their core functions include defining design direction, collaborating with cross-functional leaders, driving innovation, and ensuring alignment with business objectives.

What You'll Do
  • Strategic Design Vision & Excellence: Develops and communicates a strategic design vision for the product suite, aligning with overall business goals and objectives. Sets and maintains high standards for design quality, ensuring a consistent and exceptional user experience across all products. 
  • Design System Leadership: Oversees the development and evolution of design systems, ensuring consistency and efficiency in design workflows.
  • User Research & Insights: Champions user research initiatives targeted at gathering insights that inform design decisions, user workflow and overall user experience
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborates with product management, engineering, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of design solutions within the product development lifecycle. 
Who You Are
  • 8-10+ years of experience in product design, with 5+ years in a leadership or director-level role
  • Proven track record of successful leadership in a product design capacity.
  • Experience in managing design teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with working on consumer-facing products or complex enterprise-level applications.
  • Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices. 
  • Strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills.
