The Director of Product Lifecycle Management leads the strategic and operational management of Baylor Genetics’ clinical test portfolio across its full lifecycle, from product intake and launch through optimization, maintenance, and retirement. This role is accountable for ensuring that products remain clinically relevant, operationally scalable, financially viable, and compliant with regulatory and quality requirements. The Director works cross-functionally with Product Management, Digital Products, Customer Experience, Clinical, Laboratory Operations, Quality, Regulatory, Commercial, Billing, and Technology teams to translate enterprise strategy into actionable lifecycle plans, portfolio roadmaps, and governance decisions. This role provides leadership to Product Managers responsible for lifecycle execution and ensures consistent application of Baylor Genetics’ Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) framework across diagnostic domains. This role may manage on or more direct reports,

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, life sciences, or a related field required. Advanced degree preferred. Experience: • 8+ years of experience in product lifecycle management, or portfolio management • Experience managing complex, regulated product portfolios • Proven people leadership experience • Experience working in highly matrixed organizations

· Strong product lifecycle and portfolio management expertise

· Experience managing complex, regulated clinical products

· Proficiency with lifecycle frameworks, governance, and change control

· Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder alignment

· Data-driven decision making using performance and operational metrics

· Ability to translate strategy into executable lifecycle plans


Duties and Responsibilities

· Own and lead lifecycle management for an assigned portfolio of clinical genetic tests.

· Apply and continuously improve the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) framework.

· Develop and maintain portfolio-level roadmaps aligned to enterprise strategy.

· Monitor product performance using defined KPIs.

· Serve as the primary cross-functional product leader for a designated on-market portfolio of products.

· Ensure lifecycle changes are coordinated across downstream systems.

· Lead formal product change control processes.

· Ensure accurate maintenance of the test menu and product documentation.

· Lead, mentor, and develop Product Managers.
