Job Title: Director of Product Management - Litigation Consulting
 
Position Summary:

Magna Legal Services is seeking a strategic and execution-focused Director, Product Management to lead product strategy and delivery for our Litigation Consulting group. This role serves as the critical bridge between subject-matter experts (SMEs) in litigation consulting and Magna’s technology organization. 

The Director will translate complex litigation consulting workflows, evidentiary requirements, and client-facing service models into scalable, secure, and high-performing technology solutions. This individual must be equally comfortable operating in consultative environments with expert witnesses and trial consultants as they are partnering with engineering, data, and AI teams to deliver production-ready systems. 

This is a high-impact, cross-functional leadership role central to Magna’s continued innovation in litigation technology. 

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Product Leadership

  • Define and own the product vision, roadmap, and lifecycle for technology solutions supporting Litigation Consulting. 
  • Align product initiatives with business objectives, revenue goals, and client experience strategy. 
  • Identify opportunities for automation, AI integration, workflow optimization, and data enablement within consulting operations. 

SME & Technology Bridge

  • Partner closely with litigation consultants, expert witnesses, jury research teams, and trial strategists to capture operational requirements and domain-specific needs. 
  • Translate qualitative consulting insights into structured product requirements, user stories, and technical specifications. 
  • Serve as the authoritative product voice between business stakeholders and engineering teams. 

Product Development & Execution

  • Lead discovery, prioritization, and roadmap planning processes. 
  • Define acceptance criteria and ensure delivered solutions meet business and compliance requirements. 
  • Collaborate with engineering leadership on architecture decisions, trade-offs, and scalability considerations. 
  • Drive iterative development through Agile or hybrid methodologies. 

AI & Innovation Enablement

  • Identify and deploy AI-driven solutions to enhance research synthesis, data analysis, document workflows, visualization tools, and reporting. 
  • Partner with data and AI teams to operationalize machine learning or automation within consulting workflows. 
  • Ensure responsible AI use aligned with legal and ethical standards. 

Client-Centered Product Thinking

  • Translate client feedback and case-specific demands into product improvements. 
  • Ensure solutions support high-stakes litigation environments, including data security, confidentiality, and performance under deadline pressure. 
  • Elevate digital client experience across consulting deliverables. 

Operational & Performance Management

  • Define KPIs and success metrics for product adoption, efficiency gains, and revenue impact. 
  • Monitor usage data and drive continuous improvement initiatives. 
  • Develop scalable processes that reduce manual overhead while preserving consulting excellence. 

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of product management experience, including leadership-level ownership. 
  • Experience building enterprise or workflow-driven platforms. 
  • Demonstrated ability to translate domain expertise into structured product requirements. 
  • Strong technical fluency and ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams. 
  • Experience in professional services, legal technology, litigation support, consulting, or adjacent industries strongly preferred. 
  • Proven success delivering cross-functional initiatives in remote environments. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in legal services, litigation consulting, jury research, expert witness services, or eDiscovery. 
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled products, workflow automation, or document-intensive platforms. 
  • Experience building products in regulated or high-confidentiality environments. 
  • MBA or advanced degree in a related field (preferred but not required).

Compensation: USD $150,000 - $180,000 per year. 

An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
