Job Description:The Role of Product in agilon health

With agilon health, physicians are freed from the constraints of the transactional fee-for-service reimbursement model and can practice team-based, coordinated care to serve the individual needs of their older adult patients and to transition to a sustainable and predictable, long-term business model.

We are looking for an experienced product manager to join our tech team. agilon's platform uses payor claims and clinical data from various sources to provide comprehensive care management tools to physicians and members.

Position Summary

The Director, Product drives the strategic design, development, piloting, and scaling of new products across agilon’s core platform (clinical programs, BOI, growth). These products use agilon’s network and enhance its capabilities with innovative solutions, services, and technology. They create long-term value in our markets and support our partners. This role ensures a consistent approach to innovation to meet performance goals, deliver quality outcomes, and scale innovation.

Product Development

  • Manage and align the pipeline for new products. Use partners for ideation and development. Research and create new products by analyzing data and reassessing assumptions. Curate priorities for product development and opportunities pipeline.
  • Oversee agile product development, emphasizing “minimum viable product” and iterative methodologies.
  • Promote and actively participate in cultivating an innovation mindset within the organization.
  • Apply intellectual rigor and a “unit economics” perspective to opportunity analysis and screening.
Product Implementation
  • Ensure alignment among organizational and partner stakeholders regarding product/market fit and execution plan.
  • Collaborate with market leadership, physician leaders, and the agilon executive team to drive implementation and execution through an operating plan, success measures, targets, and a dedicated SWAT team for support.
  • Lead the implementation and refinement of systems for process and outcome measurement to monitor performance and value realization.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience or Master’s degree and 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience working in healthcare technology and clinical workflows is required.
  • Experience in product managing and/or developing analytics products is preferred.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, Payor claims is preferred.
Location:Remote - OHPay Range:$183,600.00 - $229,500.00

Salary range shown is a guideline. Individual compensation packages can vary based on factors unique to each candidate, such as skill set, experience, and qualifications.
