Location: This role can be based in one of our offices located in Austin, TX; Las Colinas, TX; or Ottawa, ON.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic Director of Product Management with a deep passion for cybersecurity and extensive experience in Exposure Management, with a primary focus on Vulnerability Management. This role involves owning product strategy and multi‑year roadmaps, conducting market and customer research, and driving execution across engineering, design, and go‑to‑market teams.

The Director will provide strategic leadership for our Exposure Management portfolio, ensuring tight alignment between customer risk outcomes, market needs, and business objectives. Key responsibilities include using data‑driven insights to guide investment decisions, partnering closely with engineering leadership to deliver scalable capabilities, and working with field and customer‑facing teams to ensure success in the market. Ideal candidates bring deep domain expertise in vulnerability and exposure management, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced environment. A background in technical roles such as software engineering, sales engineering, security architecture, or technical leadership is highly valued.

Responsibilities:
  • Product Strategy and Roadmap:
    Develop, own, and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Exposure Management product area, with a strong emphasis on Vulnerability Management. Align product direction with business objectives, customer risk reduction outcomes, and market demands.

  • Market Research and Analysis:
    Conduct ongoing market research to identify trends in exposure management, vulnerability assessment, and risk prioritization. Analyze the competitive landscape and customer needs to inform strategic decisions and differentiation.

  • Product Development:
    Partner closely with engineering and UX leadership to drive the development of new capabilities across vulnerability discovery, prioritization, and remediation workflows. Ensure timely delivery, technical quality, and scalability.

  • Customer Engagement:
    Act as a senior voice of the customer, engaging directly with strategic customers and partners to understand real‑world exposure challenges. Gather, prioritize, and translate customer needs into clear product requirements.

  • Cross‑functional Collaboration:
    Work closely with sales, marketing, customer success, and support teams to ensure successful product launches, strong field enablement, and sustained adoption of Exposure Management capabilities.

  • Data‑Driven Decision Making:
    Use qualitative and quantitative data—including product usage, risk signals, and customer outcomes—to guide prioritization, measure success, and continuously refine product strategy.

  • Analyst Relations:
    Build and maintain strong relationships with industry analysts focused on Exposure Management, Vulnerability Management, and broader security operations. Represent product strategy and roadmap externally and incorporate analyst feedback into planning.

Qualifications:
  • Experience:
    8+ years of experience in the cybersecurity industry, with significant hands‑on experience in Exposure Management and Vulnerability Management. Experience in technical roles such as software engineering, sales engineering, security architecture, or technical leadership is highly valued.

  • Product Knowledge:
    Deep understanding of vulnerability management, exposure assessment, and risk‑based prioritization, along with adjacent cybersecurity domains.

  • Analytical Skills:
    Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive strategic decisions and measure customer and business impact.

  • Communication:
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to clearly convey complex technical and risk‑based concepts to executive, technical, and non‑technical stakeholders.

  • Customer Focus:
    Strong passion for understanding customer risk, operational constraints, and real‑world security challenges.

  • Collaboration and Leadership:
    Proven ability to lead through influence, work effectively across cross‑functional teams, and mentor senior product managers.

  • Adaptability:
    Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, evolving security landscape and adapt strategy as market and customer needs change.

  • Education:
    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or equivalent experience.

  • Third‑party integrations and ecosystem development

  • Exposure Management, including:

    • Vulnerability Management

    • Attack Surface Management

    • Asset discovery and classification

    • Risk‑based prioritization and scoring

  • Security Operations, including:

    • SIEM

  • Threat Intelligence and contextual risk enrichment
