About the Role

As a Director of Sales, you’ll lead a team of account executives responsible for selling WEKA to Enterprise level companies who need speed, simplicity, scale for their AI environments. Reporting to the RVP Sales East, you and your team will collaborate with Sales Engineering, Marketing, and Demand Gen to drive top of funnel pipeline and build our business opportunities with enterprise customers.  

The right person for this role will 1) lead from the front, 2) excel at helping teams build pipeline and navigate complex sales cycles 3) have a strong operational command of their business and experience leveraging MEDDPIC to guide sales cycles, 4) partner effectively with ecosystem partners. Building and growing a sustainable ecosystem of WEKA customers across the market will be your ultimate objective. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record of meeting and exceeding quotas, capturing new logos to deliver growth, mentoring and coaching a sales team to drive results.


As a Director Sales you’ll need to:

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of WEKA and the value to our customers
  • Develop of a winning team, including recruiting, hiring and training
  • Actively lead and coach, pipeline generation activities 
  • Partnerwith cross functional resources  to execute successful sales campaigns
  • Accurately forecast to senior sales management including but not limited to managing weekly forecast calls with your teamSuccessfully manage client escalations and issues if they arise
  • Understand the competitive market and be familiar with Weka’s offerings and differentiators
  • Ensure team is developing relationships and working effectively with ecosystem players and partners
  • Implement strategies to expand in existing account and capture new logos
  • Work collaboratively across functions including the Channel, Marketing, Sales Operations, System Engineering, Customer Support, and Product Development.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a sales leadership role with enterprise software. 
  • Storage experience is a plus. 
  • Demonstrated success in building and scaling high-performance sales teams and achieving ambitious revenue targets.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to drive business growth and manage complex sales cycles.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
