What You’ll Be Doing
As Director of Sales, you will lead and scale Matroid’s Enterprise vertical revenue strategy. You will own the growth, execution, and performance of enterprise sales initiatives across key manufacturing accounts while building and mentoring a high-performing sales organization.
You will serve as the executive sponsor for strategic accounts, develop industry-specific sales plays, and drive cross-functional alignment across marketing, product, engineering, and customer success to accelerate revenue growth.
This role blends strategic leadership, enterprise sales execution, and operational rigor. You will manage complex, multi-threaded sales cycles while building scalable, repeatable processes.
You will report directly to the CEO and play a critical role in shaping Matroid’s long-term go-to-market strategy in Enterprise.
Key ResponsibilitiesRevenue Leadership & StrategyOwn and drive Enterprise vertical revenue targets.
Develop and execute strategic account plans for enterprise and Fortune 1000 customers.
Build scalable sales strategies for computer vision adoption in enterprise environments.
Forecast revenue accurately and manage pipeline health across the organization.
Lead complex sales cycles from executive discovery through close.
Engage C-level stakeholders across Operations, Quality, Engineering, and IT.
Uncover enterprise-level initiatives and align Matroid’s solutions to strategic priorities.
Structure and negotiate multi-year, multi-site agreements.
Hire, mentor, and develop Enterprise Account Executives and Sales Managers.
Build repeatable sales processes and playbooks for Enterprise vertical expansion.
Drive performance management, quota attainment, and professional development.
Establish KPIs and reporting structures to measure sales effectiveness.
Partner with Marketing to develop enterprise-specific messaging, campaigns, and assets.
Collaborate with Product and Engineering to translate customer feedback into roadmap insights.
Identify new market opportunities and vertical expansion strategies.
Represent Matroid at industry events, conferences, and executive briefings.
Position Matroid as the leading enterprise computer vision platform.
BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
3–12+ years of enterprise technology sales experience, with 1+ years in a sales leadership role.
Proven track record of exceeding multi-million dollar revenue targets.
Experience selling SaaS, AI, or Industrial Technology solutions.
Deep understanding (or willingness to learn) Manufacturing operations and enterprise buying processes.
Strong executive presence and ability to influence C-level decision-makers.
Demonstrated ability to build and scale high-performing sales teams.
Experience managing long, complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
Proficiency in Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar CRM platforms.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Strategic thinker with a hands-on, execution-focused mindset.
Experience selling Computer Vision solutions into Manufacturing.
Background in Industrial Automation or Industry 4.0 technologies.
SaaS and recurring revenue sales experience.
Startup leadership experience scaling revenue from growth to maturity stage.
Familiarity with prospecting tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
